This is the perfect getaway to relax, enjoy your surroundings and spend some quality time with your loved ones. While taking in this peaceful atmosphere, watch the Eland, Blesbuck, Red Hartebeest, Oribi, Zebra and Wildebeest walk by. If bird watching is your thing then the birdlife consists of Jackal Buzzards, Cape Vultures, Yellow-Billed Kites, Snake Eagles and Black Shouldered Kites.
Mountain View at Cathkin Estate is located within 5 minutes of the world famous Drakensberg Boys Choir, 8km to Monks Cowl with access to the highest peaks in the Drakensberg and only 5km drive from Champagne Sports.
With a variety of activities close by, including: hiking, cycling (bikes can be hired near by), fishing, having a round of golf, visiting the bird of prey displays, restaurants, arts and craft shops or for the more adventurous type, visit the 4 rivers adventures with quad biking, zip-line, archery and paint balling. Monks Cowl Golf Resort is within 1km from Cathkin Estates which also offers a children's play area and putt-putt, tennis, golf, swimming pool and restaurant.
