House of Happiness features beautiful hardwood floors and ample space for two. The cabin is on the property of the Metta Meditation Center. The space provides essential amenities including a refrigerator, microwave, stove, full bath and double bed. All guests are welcome to attend meditation sessions, and with an additional donation may schedule a consultation/ spiritual direction with one of the resident Buddhist monks living on the property. Please call the office to confirm any meetings.

The land has been home to many spiritual and sacred communities for centuries. Within the forests you can find several trails. Last year the property was hit by a large tornado. You may notice many fallen trees. We are continuing to clear the area to provide the views that we had before the tornado. Thank you for your understanding.
Once your booking is confirmed, you will receive a welcome message with a map of the trails and property, as well as important information regarding check in and check out. You can also visit www.mettameditationcenter.org for more information.

Note that we do not have AC or Wifi in the cabins. No smoking is allowed. Please turn the thermostat off when not in the cabin and once you have checked out.

Please note that during the winter season, if we receive more than 4 inches of snow, you may be contacted at a moment's notice to move your vehicle to allow for snow removal. Unfortunately we have no control over when the snow plows arrive.
We also advise visitors to park in the retreat center lot on windy days to avoid any unnecessary damage from surrounding trees.
Guests are responsible for reading and understanding the conditions, policies and descriptions of the cabin and property they reserve and will sign an agreement at the time of check in that these policies have been read.
