The Studio at 217 is tucked away on a quiet cul-de-sac in as-yet-to-be-discovered East Asheville. This cozy, light filled space is attached to a corner of our handmade log home, with it's own private entrance and lots of off street parking. Our property abuts Blue Ridge Parkway land, so it's a short hike on a clear trail through the woods to the Mountains-to-Sea Trail or the Parkway. The Studio is 15 mins from the Biltmore, just 12 mins from downtown, and one mile from a local grocery store.

The Studio is fully private and well appointed, with everything you need for a comfortable stay in our beautiful area. If you want to eat in one night, our fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to make a meal. We provide coffee, tea, sweetners, 1/2 and 1/2, breakfast bars, fruit, and instant oatmeal for a light breakfast. Also basic cooking condiments: pepper, salt, and oil.

Guests are welcome to access the backyard and trail to the Blue Ridge Parkway from the side door in the Studio. We are in the planning stages of a patio to be built which will be accessed by the side door.

The Studio is at the bottom of a gravel road, tucked into a small holler with woods on one side. It feels out- of-the-way here, but it's also just a mile from our local grocery store and Filo, our favorite local cafe and Bistro. The Copper Crown, another favorite restaurant, is also in the neighborhood. And then there is Ultimate Ice Cream, which really is the ultimate! The Nature Center is a mile away too.

We've lived in the area for over 30 years, and love the natural wonders that abound here! We had a great time renovating the Cottage on Parkway Loop together, and hope that spirit is passed on to everyone who shares the space. We've added 'The Studio at 217'! Though attached to our cabin, the Studio is separate from our home, so you can decide how much contact you wish to have with us. We don't have the expectation of meeting every guest, but we are available most of the time.
