Our piece of paradise is situated on the edge of the water in the Athenree Village (north end of the Tauranga harbour). The modern upstairs apartment is yours exclusively. From here you can: watch the sunrise over the water; enjoy the ever-changing view of the tide; watch the varied and rich bird life; or relax while reading or playing games from our library. Feel more energetic? Walk to the surf beach; visit the hot pools or take a walk on the water edge. We follow AirBnB cleaning protocols.

The open plan kitchen living area enjoys all day sun with 180 degree views. The kitchen is well equipped with a convection oven/microwave, a single hob, dishwasher, refrigerator, essential utensils and place settings for seven. Tea coffee and continental breakfast supplies are provided daily. Groceries can be ordered through supermarkets in Katikati or Waihi.
There is no extra charge for linen. Beds are made up with natural fabrics of pure cotton, or pure linen, while comforters are feather, cotton or wool. Bath towels and beach towels are provided. (Please note the bedroom configuration. The basic charge is for one bedroom)
The window seat area is stocked with a wide selection of books as well as some puzzles and games for adults and children.
If you require a child's cot, please advise in advance.

You will have exclusive use of the apartment. Some areas of the garden are available to guests. The owners' private courtyard is not available to guests. However this area does have a BBQ and wonderful fire place, and can be hired by prior arrangement.

Please advise if your group needs access to more bedrooms than the standard configuration for the house. A surcharge is payable for access to other bedrooms due to extra linen and cleaning costs.

Athenree is a quiet enchanting village. You are able to walk freely throughout the village and in particular enjoy the walk along the common ground. There are no cafes or stores in the village. These are easily accessible by car within ten minutes. The Surf Shack our closest cafe serves wonderful food and excellent coffee. Waihi Beach Village is 15 minutes drive. You will find an excellent selection of stores and cafes there.

The owners live downstairs and are available as needed. Your space is completely private and lockable. You will have entry via a key pad, with details sent in advance. ( New AirBnB rules require us to wear masks when greeting guests. At the moment this is not NZ protocol but we are very happy to wear masks if guests prefer. Please advise in advance.
