Your Fishing Shack is waiting.The shack is a rustic, yet cozy and comfortable salt waterfront rental on Caney Creek with only minutes from the intercoastal waterway and beach. Enjoy great fishing and crabbing off your pier,day or night! Sit back on your covered back porch and enjoy the relaxing sunset or the sounds of the water.

Your accommodation's includes a beautiful slate stone, walk in shower with slate bathroom flooring, a large back covered deck, WiFi, fire pit, a long paved drive way to accommodate a large 50 AMP RV. Pets are welcome companions at the shack. If you decide to fish offshore, the nearest boat ramp is less than a city block away and then you are merely minutes from the Mitchell's Cut or the bay. However, if you remain at the shack, then the pier has been recently renovated. The L head pier is outfitted with two 1500 watt, and 2 underwater green lights. The pier has a covered fishing station with lights to accommodate night fishing.
The Fishing Shack has 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. One bedroom has 1 queen bed and one set of bunk beds, the second bedroom has one full bed and the living room has sofa sleeper. The Fishing Shack can accommodate 8 people.

Sargent is known for its excellent fishing year-round. This is a friendly, laid back, and very patriotic community. Sargent offers several public boat ramps, covered picnic areas, and public restrooms along the beach. Enjoying casual dining at one of the local restaurants, or tour some of the small gift shops throughout the town. Other attractions include The San Bernard Nat'l Wildlife Refuge, and The Sea Center 35 min away.
The Fishing Shack is located on Caney Creek; great fishing, great sunsets that can be seen while relaxing on the covered deck. The beach is just minutes away by car. While East Matagorda is merely minutes by boat.

My family (including our toy schnauzer and German Shepard) are proudly serving in the US Army. Our travels with the Army has taken us all over the world. Yet, Sargent continues to hold a warm spot of memories and good times within our hearts.
