Our guest house sleeps up to 6 and is situated on 5 river front acres midway between the town of Fernie and ski hill. It is less than a 5 minute drive to town, the ski hill, or the provincial park which translates to dining, fishing, mountain biking, xc and downhill skiing at your finger tips.
This unit features 2 bedrooms, open concept kitchen and living room with large windows to take advantage of the vistas of the ski hill and beyond. Enjoy the private hot tub, fire pit and river access.

This beautiful two bedroom modern guest house is newly built and recently completed in December 2018.
The guest house sleeps up to 6 and is situated on 5 river front acres midway between the the town of Fernie and Fernie Alpine Resort. It is less than a 5 minute drive to town, the ski hill, or the provincial park which translates to dining, fishing, mountain biking, nordic and downhill skiing at your finger tips.
This upper floor rental features in floor heat, vaulted ceilings, and large windows to take advantage of the breathtaking vistas of the ski hill and down the Lizard Range.
There is a private hot tub situated in the backyard for guests to use with phenomenal views.
The open concept kitchen and living area are conducive to both social gatherings or meditative gazing of mountain views. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped with a custom counter height dining table/island and efficient cooking area. The living area with the large and panoramic windows is both cozy and spacious. Whether you are cooking, socializing or relaxing the built in speakers and sound system will help set the mood.
The media room features 5.1 surround sound, large screen TV (Netflix included) and a large, comfy sectional couch for family movie nights.
The master bedroom features a queen bed and views towards the Elk River and beyond.
The second bedroom features a twin over double bunk bed and daybed which works either as a twin or queen bed. This bedroom features views of the ski hill.
Laundry facilities include a washer and dryer (detergent included).
A ski locker is conveniently located at the front of the guest house for safe storage of skis and snowboards. This ski locker is shared with the bachelor suite underneath.
The bathroom is spacious and spa like. Soak in the tub and gaze towards Castle Rock, you just may glance upon the local fox or a herd of elk wandering through the field.
Parking is ample just in front of the guest house.

There is a bachelor suite directly below the guesthouse. It is entirely separate asides from the shared ski locker. If there are guests staying in the bachelor suite at the same time, please be courteous when it comes to parking and sharing the driveway (there is lots of room).

The beauty of Fernie is definitely being in the midst of the Rocky Mountains. The next plus is that you're never far from anywhere in Fernie. The guest house is a mere minutes to just about anywhere by car. In the summer, world class fishing is just steps out back to the river, mountain biking is a short pedal to Mt. Fernie Provincial Park where you'll most likely find a trail to call one of your favorites. The ski hill features chairlift accessed mountain biking and hiking and again, is mere minutes away by car. Step outside, immerse yourself in the 360 degree panorama, pick a mountain and chances are there's a hiking trail to the summit. If you need an "off" day from all your adventuring pursuits Fernie is host to some excellent, restaurants, bars, coffee shops and shopping. The town is also home to very talented and creative artists so make sure to take in some arts and culture. Most summer weekends feature farmers markets and a midweek concert series. The Elk River offers respite on very hot days as do the many lakes within an hour drive.
Winter, undoubtedly, is focused snow sports. Fernie is a mecca for downhill skiing, snowboarding, fat biking, snow shoeing, nordic skiing and snowmobiling. Oh yes, there's still skating, indoors or outdoors, ice fishing and tobogganing. Again, the amenities in town are available in the winter also. The Griz Winter Festival is definitely worth checking out.

Although we don't live at the property we do live in town and are 5 minutes away if needed. The property is 5 acres so you may bump into one of us as there is always something that needs doing.
