Sharne, a Brit and her Chilean/Canadian husband moved to Chile 10 years ago after living in the UK and in Canada. Roberto a cinematographer and Sharne a textile designer work freelance from their home in Quintay.
Roberto’s father came to this fishing village over 40 years ago. At that time it took two and a half hours along a windy dirt road from the main road to get here. He was a dentist and offered free dental work to the fishermen and their families. He built The Stone House with the help of some the fishermen.
When we moved here we lived in The Studio whilst the main house was renovated. A lot of hard work and many stories later we have our home overlooking the Pacific ocean and The Studio which we rent out.
It is beautiful in summer, sitting out on the deck watching the fishing boats go out to sea and in the evening incredible sunsets, but also in the winter with dramatic storms out at sea, cozy in our home.
With 2 daughters living abroad, we enjoy traveling!
