This 17 century French chateau with its own ancient forest of sequoia trees has been tastefully restored into beautiful family home where you will be instantly charmed by its authentic and warm atmosphere. Subtle light and spacious rooms make this a very special place to be indeed. Ideal for spending meaningful moments with family or friends this is the perfect rental location in the heart of the rustic French countryside.

The house is on the outskirts of a very quiet village with the nearest shops 10 minutes away in the the villages of Morlaas and Lembèye. The city of Pau with its outstanding views of the Pyrenees mountains and historical castle is 25 away minutes by car. There are many possibilities for walks, running or mountain biking leaving directly from the house which is also on the path of the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela. There are many chateaux's to visit in the surrounding area with opportunities for wine tasting. The host family loves village of Vic en Bigorre (20 mins by car) with their famous Saturday morning market and outdoor swimming pool which has a huge garden where even in the summer months has ample space. Great for a day out with picnic and the kids will have endless fun on the toboggans and bouncy castle! Finally, on the doorstep to the Pyrenees mountains day trips are possible with the nearest hotspots only 1h30 away. Brochures for all available touristic events will be left in the entrance hall upon arrival.

The residents of Anoye feel privileged to have à Chateau in their village where there is a warm community spirit. We lived here full time for several years whilst restoring it to its current condition and regularly return with our four children. We continue to see it as an ongoing project and in time hope to restore the out buildings for larger receptions, add a swimming pool and tennis court!

Jeune couple Anglo-Francais, lui de Bourgogne et elle d'Angleterre, nous sommes propriétaires du château depuis 2013. Nous y avons habité plusieurs années avant de déménager à Bordeaux. La maison a beaucoup changé depuis notre arrivée mais il y a encore beaucoup à faire, nous avons tant de projets pour l'embellir! Elle est aujourd'hui disponible à la location. N'hésitez pas, c'est une expérience à saisir ;)
