Our neighbourhood is magical- at the epicenter of living in a small town, you have access to everything. Grocery stores are steps away, the daily market, the weekly Wednesday market that closes all streets in the center and draws people from the nearby area, as well as walking distance to banks and the central square. There are many wonderful restaurants in the area offering a wide range of cuisines- you must try our famous Malinali ice cream, buy some local honey, or visit one of our local mezcalerias. On a cultural level, you are seconds away from an Augustian Convent, minutes from the Luis Mario Schneider museum to learn about Malinalco's history, and the pyramid- one of three to be built into a mountain. Swiss entreperneurs brought trout to Malinalco's fresh waters and you can fish your "truchas" that you can bring home to cook, or have them prepared once caught. Hikes into the hills are minutes away as is transport to Mexico City (approx. 2 hours away). Malinalco is truly a place that has escaped time and has wonders to explore.
