Location, Location, Location! Eaglehawk Neck is the gateway to the Tasman Pensinsula, and this cottage is the perfect base to explore Port Arthur and Tasman National Park.
When we purchased this property in February 2020, the real estate described it as being "cute as a button"! Downstairs there is an open-plan kitchen, dining, living area and bathroom, and a sun-drenched covered courtyard. Upstairs there is a large bedroom complete with a Juliet balcony with glimpses of Eaglehawk Bay.

*Facing North, the sheltered rear of this property receives all day sunshine.
*We are only minutes away from the white sands of Pirates Bay Beach and home of little penguins, Tessellated Pavements, Waterfall Bay, 3 Capes Walking Track and many other natural world class attractions.
*15 min drive to Port Arthur. 50 mins to Hobart Airport
* Food Supplies - BYO groceries ( an IGA at Nubeena is a short drive away)
OR
eat at the Lufra hotel or DooLicious Fish and Chips Van (both 5 minutes away)
* Heating: We have installed a brand new Heat Pump ( reverse cycle air conditioner)
* Friendly wallabies may hop by

With so much to see and do you will not be disappointed with a trip to this majestic part of Tasmania. Come and see for yourself! Port Arthur Historic site is a 25 minutes drive away and this convict penal colony is Australia’s leading tourist attraction. The Remarkable cave is a further 3kms from Port Arthur and has breathtaking views of the coastline to Cape Raoul. The Three Capes walk is also located in this iconic wilderness area as well as the award winning Pennicott Tasman Island Cruise, a must see do in my eyes !
For keen surfers, Pirates Bay beach is only a 10 minutes walk away, and Ship Stern bluff and Roaring beach are both within a 40 min drive.
The location of our cottage is so quiet and peaceful and there's an abundance of wildlife right in the backyard!
For a lunch, we recommend Doolicious Fish and Chips van; located only 5 minutes away at The Blow Hole.

I am an Australian artist and recently returned "home" after living in Hanoi ,Vietnam for 8 years with my wife Cathie. She is an EarlyYear's teacher. We are taking a 'Gap Year"in 2020, exploring Australia and during our travels, have found and purchased a one bedroom cottage in Tasmania. So now we are AirBnb newbie hosts!
