“It has always been our dream to acquire a piece of land and build a small hotel for surfers. When I first visited Padang-Padang in Bali in the early 90s, I literally fell in love with the area. Back then there were still no roads, electricity or water facilities, imagine! And then, in 2011, my dream came true.”
The Pink Hotels concept is born from the vision of an open-minded and full-of-dreams couple. Ayu and Pancho Llamas created the first Pink Hotel together in 2011, starting with the PinkCoco, Padang-Padang in Bali then extending to the Gilis and now in Sanur with the first PinkPrivate, a luxury Bed & Breakfast.
Pancho had been working in the hotel industry for over 30 years, travelling around the world for top international hotel chains. Starting as a humble receptionist, years of hard work have led him to become a Vice President of Operations at a leading luxury hotel. And then, Pancho met Ayu and they gave birth to Pink Hotels. It’s a beautiful story, isn’t it?
