Chill on your private deck surrounded by bird life. A lapa with dining area, kitchen, small library, braai pit, deep seat chairs and a fireplace is a stones throw away. This unique space is one of three private pods set in indigenous forest right on an urban doorstep a mear 10 min from town. Nature is the new luxury - one you will experience here. Breathe fresh oxygen, listen in on the bird life, sounds of the city and just be. Spend time tucked away in our forest environment.

L’auberge is our home and we share it with you. Set apart from the main house is a small forested area with wooden walkways, a lily pond and three very separate pods. Each has its own deck. A few meters away guests can enjoy the lapa. You can cook here, braai, dine, there are books available, deep seat chairs and a fireplace. The lapa has two toilets, decking and a fire pit. Alongside the lapa is an area for you to park your vehicle and the main house is a little way up the hill. The aim? For you to breathe deep and get away from it. Above all it’s imperative that you enjoy this gift which is the luxury of nature. 🌿

Please no smoking in the pods.
Note that due to drought our forest area is dry and any outdoor smoking must be done with caution. Use the ashtrays provided.
Please be aware of water usage when showering.
Braai facilities are available at the lapa but not on the decks of the pods due to the closeness of the vegetation.
If you have small children take note of the lily pond and ensure that you know where your children are at all time.
Pets are allowed however large dogs are not - if you do bring your pet then excessive barking is not allowed. Please pick up and dispose of any droppings.
L’auberge recycles so please drop your glass, tin and paper into the bins provided.
