The Hammock House is a modern retreat located in the Hill Country, about an hour outside Austin (think rolling hills, green pastures, and breathtaking sunsets). This secluded property is a unique, one-of-a-kind experience from the moment you enter the private gated ranch: the privacy you feel immediately upon entering, the Hammock Deck just off the bedroom balcony, a unique indoor shower, and an outdoor soaking tub. Designed for privacy, relaxation and a little self care.

The Hammock House includes a living/ dining/ kitchen area, bathroom, bedroom, hammock deck and outdoor tub.
Living Area:
12 feet of sliding glass doors open the living space to the outdoors. The living room is a great space for relaxing with a seating area and separate dining space. The kitchen is designed for lite cooking including spices, microwave, mini refrigerator, mini freezer, convection cook top, toaster, and coffee maker.
Bathroom:
The bathroom is a modern oasis with concrete sink and shower. Complimentary eco-friendly toiletries are available as well as linens and robes.
Please note: There is no bathroom upstairs. The bathroom is located downstairs off the kitchen.
Bedroom:
Located upstairs, the bedroom is furnished with a king canopy bed and sitting area. The 12' sliding glass doors open the bedroom to the balcony and Hammock Deck.
Hammock Deck:
The two-person hammock suspended off the bedroom balcony is the most unique feature of the house. The double net hammock is perfect for relaxing, reading or napping - or just enjoying being surrounded by nature, wildlife and cool evening breezes in the quiet Texas Hill Country.
Outdoor Tub:
Relax outdoors in the beautiful 6' soaking tub nestled between the trees as you step off the porch and down the path. Lots of privacy, perfect for a bath and full view of the stars. Note: not a hot tub.
Gate code required to access property and a separate keypad to enter the Hammock House.
Surrounded by lakes: Lake Marble Falls, Lake LBJ, Inks Lake, Buchanan Dam, Lake Travis, Colorado River and Pedernales State Park. Nearby adventures include Enchanted Rock, Longhorn Cavern and historic Fredericksburg. Looking for some big city entertainment, Austin is only 50 miles to the east. A great central location!

The Hammock House is on private property in the Hill Country. Owner's residence sits at the back of the property with a separate access road. It is also home to deer, jackrabbits, foxes, raccoons, skunks, ladybugs, and interesting insects.

Hi! We're a family team: Mom, Dad and our two daughters. In 2013 our daughter encouraged us to put the family cabin on Airbnb. Since then we have been able to share our quiet tranquil hill country space with many people from various locations. In 2018, our daughters designed the Hammock House literally from a scrap of paper and it went live July 1st, 2020. We are excited about this new adventure. Most people who stay with us are looking for a quiet place to relax, take a step back from the fast pace of life and self-indulge a little. As such, we have a hassle free check-in and lots of privacy. Come check us out!
