Summer is perfect for fishing, kayaks and tubing down the Rockfish River, hikes on the nearby Appalachian Trail, visits to the award winning Nellysford farmer’s market and plenty of time relaxing on the wrap around porch which always seems to be awash in gentle breezes. Fall is the perfect time for drives on the Blue Ridge parkway (access – 25 minutes), trips into Charlottesville (30 minutes to the University of Virginia) and hikes on the many nearby trails. For snow sport lovers, Wintergreen Resort is only 20 minutes away. On the way down the mountain, stop by Devils’ Backbone and relax with a craft brew or spirit by their firepit and outdoor dining area.
