Welcome to Talula Mesa, elevated glamping near Marble Falls, TX. We offer a large Grand Aztec Tent and this Petite Aztec Tent.
The Petite Aztec wooden tent has a private lake view and just enough room for 2 people to be perfectly comfortable, perfect for kids or a couple who doesn't need the amenities of a Grand. It's camping with style and without having to pack all of the gear.

THE PROPERTY
Situated on 15 private acres (secluded on the north shore of Lake Travis) near Marble Falls, TX, our rolling property boasts sweeping, gorgeous views of Lake Travis and the surrounding hill country. Well-suited for a socially-distanced getaway, we can host groups of couples or friends in private tents who can share an outdoor fire pit and games.
Choose between two types of glamping tents: A Grand or a Petite. Both have king-sized beds and AC. The Grand is much larger and is outfitted with floor to ceiling glass windows to take in the views, 2 porches, a microwave, french press for coffee, and a mini fridge, and a propane fireplace for winter. The Petite is much smaller, perfect as an add-on for kids, groups, or anyone who wants to enjoy the views, our property, a cozy wooden tent, and doesn't need all of the amenities in the Grand.
The Grand Aztec tent is listed on AirBnB also.
THE PETITE TENT
The Petite Aztec is outfitted with a very comfortable, brand new king-sized bed, perfect for a luxurious night's sleep. Electrical outlets are available so that you can charge phones, computer, etc. String lights and flickering lanterns bring magic at night. AC is available in the summer, and a space heater keeps you warm in the winter.
To give an exact idea of its size, stepping into the tent, you have about 3' of floor space in front of the mattress, and the tent is 8' tall.
For maximum privacy the Petite Aztec is located about 200 feet from our Grand Aztec, but upon request, it could be moved near the Grand if you're traveling with kids who would like to be very close.

Waterfall and picnic tables
While we can see the lake, we do not have lake access on our property. To kayak or paddle board, you'll need to drive to the lake with your car. Don't worry, if you don't have a roof rack, two pool noodles does the trick for short distances. We have noodles, roof straps, life vests, paddles and boards all waiting for you. The nearest lake access is 3 minutes down the street by car.
WIFI
We do not have wifi (too remote), but cell service is great. My husband and I use our phones (AT&T) as mobile hotspots and get about 30Mbps download speed. For outdoor movies, a projector is available to borrow, along with plenty of cushions and blankets. We recommend downloading a movie onto your laptop or USB stick before coming.
PETS
Pets are allowed with pre-approval.

Hello from Austin, TX! My husband and I are longtime Austin residents (going on 20 years). We recently decided to open our home to fellow travelers, so... we are new to hosting and THRILLED to share our unique home with you. We are avid adventurers with a home base firmly in Austin. Our home is truly one of a kind in Austin. So much of the city has been torn down for new growth - that's why we adore our quirky historic little (big!) abode on the east side. There is so much to do in Austin. My favorite coffee shop is just around the corner. There are 14 taco restaurants within walking distance and too many restaurants to name.
