Our Woods Yome is nestled in the trees on a large deck with outdoor seating. It is a private space away from people and cars but close to the birds and squirrels. The structure is quite unique. Spanning 15 ft across with 14 triangular sides, it holds a double bed, dinning table, kitchenette and dresser. It is warm and cozy with insulation and wood stove. You can walk 5 minutes to sit in ferns by a stream. Walk 10 min to a cleansing river or 20 min to the gypsum cliffs that host huge bat caves.

A yome is a cross between a yurt and a dome (but really more like a yurt in shape:). This Yome is tucked away in the trees of our 20 acre wood lot. We provide lots of wood and fire starter for the wood stove but guests should have experience with wood stoves (or be really keen to learn). The stove is big enough to easily heat the whole yome to cozy comfort but guests should expect to have to keep the stove going in order to keep the space warm and this may mean stoking it once or more in the night. We provide lots of extra blankets.
The space is beautiful, unique and quite dreamy but it is rustic. There is a composting toilet next to the yurt and outdoor showers near our farm house. There is a three burner propane cook stove, basic cooking and dining wares and an outdoor sink for dishes. There is a cooler and we can stock it with ice packs upon request. We supply coffee, a french press, honey, sugar and tea. We also offer home cooked meals when we are around for an extra fee. We mostly cook with organic ingredients that are either from the land or from farms in the maritimes but it depends on the season. Current menu can be found here.

We also offer massage and reiki to guests. Morghain Lee is a massage therapist and Reiki Master and enjoys blending these two body therapies for a holistic healing experience. Message us for pricing!
There is an outdoor fire pit and star gazing chairs. We ask that you only use natural soaps in the shower, the sink, pond or river. We have some Dr Bronners if you like:)
Cell reception on the land depends on the provider but most people have weak service (one or two bars). Enough to maintain a phone connection (if you are not walking around too much) but not enough to download videos. Some people have more or less.

The yome now has cealing and wall insulation. It is more cozy and warm but has blocked out some windows and natural light. Some of pictures are of the yome before the insulation was up.
We do allow pets but it is nice if we can receive an extra $20 contribution to compensate for the extra cleaning. We have an 2 year old unfixed boarder collie. He loves playing with people and dogs and is generally great with animals but can be a bit aggressive with other unfixed male dogs. Nothing to worry over but something worth communicating about in advance.
