The Lovelock B&B is a is a renovated stone character cottage, perfect for couples, groups or families that sleeps up to 6 guests. Located in a quiet corner of the old Blyth Hospital. There are 2 large bedrooms, all with ceiling fans and air-conditioning, a lounge/dining space, kitchen with coffee pod machine, bathroom with clawfoot bath and shower, separate toilet, outdoor seating area and BBQ. Generous breakfast provisions included. Minimum booking is 2 nights

This charming slice of the Blyth history has been lovingly resurrected as a Bed & Breakfast. Elizabeth Lovelock bequeathed to the Blyth District Hospital, funds to build this cottage. Originally opened on 21st December 1928 by Mr Chris Lovelock, son of the donor as an Isolation block to compliment the Blyth District Hospital and appropriately named the Elizabeth Lovelock Memorial Ward. Life after hospital use has seen this building repurposed many times and we have been led to believe it has served as quarters for the Hospital Matron, a Doctors Surgery, an Electronics business and used for Tree propagation and nursery before we took it over and started the restoration journey.

Max and I have 3 children and moved to Blyth 3 years ago after purchasing a beautiful closed country hospital.
