Ocean Close is a timeless classic beach house from the 1970's with a prime location opposite the ocean front coastal reserve. Great for big family holidays. In addition to the upstairs residence, downstairs there is a self contained apartment and a separate games room. Enjoy great ocean views from the upstairs residence and ocean glimpses from the downstairs apartment. A large corner block with expansive lawns and gardens and two driveways. The summertime at Ocean Close is so memorable.

While the summertime at Ocean Close is so memorable, the shoulder seasons in Spring and Autumn can also be very enjoyable when the fresh ocean breezes are not so prevalent.

The property is quite unique in the Guilderton townsite in that it has two separate accommodations - the residence and the apartment. Each has a kitchen, bathroom and toilet. Both kitchens have full size oven/hotplates and fridge/freezers. The laundry also has a fridge. There is also a games room building. The upstairs residence has 3 bedrooms with 2 QB's and 2 SB's. The downstairs apartment has 2 bedrooms with 1 QB and 2 SB's. Upstairs is a large North facing balcony accessible from the living area and a smaller South facing balcony with ocean views accessible from each bedroom. These are easy living spaces that are ample for a short beach side holiday for large family groups. An extended family can spend time together while also having separate spaces to quietly relax.

We encourage you to stay longer than 2 nights in the peak periods, why not do that and truly relax. The property is connected to the NBN, so if you must, you can remain connected to the outside world. It's about an hours drive to Perth City so it is possible to commute for a few nights if work commitments demand.

The property is on the North side of the town-site and you only have to cross a quiet road to follow the footpath to the beach track. You can be on the beach for a swim or beach walk within a few minutes. You can also walk the 2-3kms along the coastal footpath on Gordon Street to the river mouth.

Relaxing after returning from a swim or a walk you can enjoy the TV free to air and also streaming is available as there are two WiFi access points connected to the NBN. Google Chromecast devices are available on the TV's in the residence and apartment. There are music systems set up for bluetooth streaming from your byo devices in the residence living area, residence North balcony, apartment living area and the games room. Remember to bring your details to login to Netflix, Spotify etc.

Enjoy the views from the balconies while relaxing with a cuppa or something stronger. There are also extensive grassed areas in the yard for some games or just chilling on the sun lounges or bean bags.

There is a Weber Q BBQ on the residence North balcony and a commercial grade 3 burner BBQ located on the brick paving area opposite the downstairs apartment entry.

The kitchens are fully equipped with all of the essentials including electric stove / oven with grill. Electric microwave and frypan. Pots and pans are provided as is tableware, glassware and cutlery and servers. The pantry only holds limited essential/basic cooking supplies. There is a fridge-freezer in each kitchen as well as another fridge great for drinks in the laundry downstairs. The laundry has additional cleaning products to that found in the essential products under each kitchen sink. An extended stay is all provided for.

The lounge furniture is comfortable and can accommodate the number of guests in either the residence or apartment. The dining tables can seat six each.

There are some DVDs, books and board games available for guests’ enjoyment in the living areas.

The games room has a pool table, table tennis table and dart board. Also there is a stereo system with a bluetooth device available to connect your byo music device.

Beds are only supplied with quilts and pillows. Please bring you own linens to fit the bedding as listed in each bedroom and make up the beds for your stay. There will be a bottom sheet on the beds as well as pillow cases on the pillows - please replace these with your own top/bottom sheets and pillowcases when you arrive. The mattress protectors are to remain on the mattresses.

Additional rugs are available in each bedroom should they be required.

No bath towels or bath mats are supplied. Please bring your own.

Also bring your own beach towels, beach chairs and umbrellas.

The large corner block has native gardens and expansive lawn areas. Also we've just planted out a small olive grove on the South boundary.

Guest access
Guests have the entire property except for the separate downstairs shower and toilet (this is in the doorway adjacent to the laundry - as this is under renovation) and the garage with the roller door accessed from the Gordon Street driveway.

There is self check in access.
There are guides on the fridges with essential information / to do checklists for the check in and check out process.

Other things to note

Pets are not allowed unless special permission is granted. There is a strict no party/event policy. No more persons than that described in the property listing are to be on the property late in the evenings. The owner reserves the right to cancel bookings where these conditions are not met.

There are two small shops in the Guilderton townsite however they only provide limited fresh food. We suggest you bring the majority of your provisions with you. You may be able to arrange a Woolworths or Coles grocery delivery in advance. There is also the Guilderton Country Club which provides evening meals on most weekend nights - please contact them beforehand to confirm.

You can book the whole of house which includes the residence upstairs and the apartment and games room downstairs. There is a laundry downstairs that is shared by both of the accommodation areas.
