Wambiri on The Esplanade offers stunning panoramic sea views and a choice of two sensational beaches literally across the road. Located near Point Danger you simply cross the road to Cosy Corner beach to safely play in the family friendly shallows or walk around the point to the famous lifesaver patrolled Torquay surf beach.

Everything is within an easy walk to shops, cafes, restaurants, the pub and golf course. Just step out the front door to start a stunning cliff top walk all the way to famous Bells beach or go the other way for a seashore stroll to Fisherman’s Beach.

Wambiri, Number Four is a classic mid 70’s sunny, first floor apartment designed by award winning Geelong architects, McGlashan Everist of Heide Gallery fame.

The apartment has a balcony with panoramic water views across Bass Strait to Point Lonsdale, Point Nepean and Arthur’s Seat. It's perfect to laze on whilst watching kite boarders, wind surfers, fishing boats and ships cruise by. The balcony has an outdoor table setting that comfortably seats six for stunning alfresco dining.

This compact apartment features the trademark McGlashan Everist exposed natural brickwork, blond timber paneling, elevated doors and expansive timber framed windows which takes advantage of the stunning water view. The open plan lounge and dining rooms contains furniture of the era with a large screen TV, home theater and a collection of DVD’s and games.

The apartment comfortably sleep seven with a double bed master bedroom and bunk room that sleeps five. The bunk room contains a double bed and three single bunk beds plus an additional pull out trundle bed The bunk room has a cot if required and a large wardrobe.

The compact galley kitchen is fully equipped where you can whip a cappuccino, milk shake, smoothie or fresh juice. Some basic food supplies are provided in the pantry for guests convenience.

The apartment is equipped with warm doonas, blankets, a washing machine, clothes dryer, drying rack and gas barbeque on the balcony. It has its own sunny, private north facing ground level yard for lying in the sun and a washing line for drying.

A single off street car park is provided and there is plenty of free additional car parking over the road.

For location and convenience with stunning sea views it does not come any better than Wambiri on The Esplanade.

A single cleaning fee of $150 applies to each visit.

Torquay is iconic Victorian surf town with magnificent beaches. It is the birthplace of some famous surf wear brands with retail outlets for Rip Curl, Quicksilver, Billabong, Oakley and Roxy.

Each year at Easter nearby at Bells Beach the famous Rip Curl Pro surfing championship is held.

Torquay is a gateway to the Great Ocean Road, one of the world's most scenic coastal drives. Cruise the Great Ocean Road to the Wye River General Store and Cafe for lunch and stop and see kangaroos at Anglesea, koalas at Lorne and some stunning surf breaks, lookouts and waterfalls signposted along the way.

Go a little further and admire the superb coastline along the Great Ocean Walk near Apollo Bay. Stop and visit the Cape Otway lighthouse, the Otway Fly Treetop Walk and the magnificent tall timber rain forest nearby at Triplet Falls. Take time to stop and enjoy fine dining, the local wines and fresh produce.

YOUR HOST: GARY COPOLOV Hello, my name is Gary and I live in Middle Park, Melbourne. I currently manage ten short to long term accommodation properties in Middle Park (5), Albert Park (2), South Melbourne (1), Port Melbourn (1) and Torquay (1). Middle Park, Albert Park, South Melbourne and Port Melbourne are arguably some of Melboune’s best inner city bayside suburbs which is why I chose to live and manage properties in the area. Mt Airbnb hosting journey started when my wife, Jo and I bought Florence Court in Nimmo Street, Middle Park. It is a heritage listed, mid 30's Art Deco apartment block where I offer three fantastic short term accommodation apartments. I now operate nine brilliant short to long term accommodation properties in the area ranging from apartments to houses and from one to four bedrooms. They are all stunning and fitted out to the very highest standard. As an Airbnb Superhost I offer my guests a concierge like service. I am an unashamed ambassador for the area where I have lived for over 25 years. Just tell me your interests and I will offer my recommendations. Each property has a copy of "Adventures" which provides details my recommended local To Do's and the very best of nearby dining pleasures. There are recommendations for guests of all ages. Jo and I met playing tennis at Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club and were married in Paris just over 25 years ago. Jo is a part time teacher at the local primary school where she is a special education reading teacher. She has a real passion for books, real estate and interior design. A typical week will see her at a local café with friends, walking our dog in the nearby park, seeing a movie or attending her book club. We have two children. Natasha (Tash) is Design graduate working in the construction industry. When she is not out socialising or globe trotting she may occasionally walk our friendly Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever called Hudson. We love pets and they are welcome at all properties. Our son Louis lives in Portland, Maine, USA where he is the Player Manager of the Portland Red Claws Basketball Team. He attended university in Boston, USA and represented Australia in rowing as a coxswain. On weekends, given a chance, we will visit a beach side holiday apartment with stunning sea views in Torquay. Torquay is just over an hour’s drive from Melbourne. It is Victoria's surf capital and the gateway to the famous Great Ocean Road. In Torquay, we enjoy walks, great local food, wine, the many surf beaches and the company of friends. The apartment is available for stays on Airbnb. (Sleeps 8). We have travelled to Europe, the Middle East, South East Asia and the USA where we have enjoyed Airbnb hospitality in England, France, Italy, Spain, Bulgaria, Croatia, Turkey, Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden and the United States. I wish to share that same pleasure and the excitement of travel with my guests. I am a self-employed Marketing Consultant whose consultancy, Gold Medal Marketing develops and implements business development programs for businesses in various industries. I have written and deliver a number of business development programs.
