Private room and bathroom with shared access to the kitchen, living room, outside sitting, heated therapy pool and dining and grill in an elegant fairy tale space located near the beach in downtown Half Moon Bay. Close to restaurants, shops, ocean and the Coastal Beach Trail. Architecture delights include a soaring dome ceiling on the round living room bordered with windows creating indoor/outdoor living and a warm southern exposure.

The curvy roof dips and then rises in a parabola over the front door. A nine-sided living room topped by a cupola opens into the back garden. The yard is a riot of color, as poppies, nasturtiums, geraniums, roses and more summer bloomers compete for attention. Soak in all the fantastical details like custom-made gutters, which undulate with the roof, have a swirly, wavelike pattern on them. Relax in the nearly round living room that is the focal point of his home, all the windows and the two sets of double-doors open fully to the south-facing yard, and there are potted geraniums and a bougainvillea in the room, mirroring the ones just outside. An apple tree and a plum tree in the garden are espaliered above the windows and will show off their fruit in summer.
In the backyard are light pink and sunset-colored roses near a heated spa pool, hot-pink lavatera and a magenta passion vine that’s engulfed one corner of the yard and part of a fence.

I'm 62, married to my wife/girlfriend of 43 years, Kathy Watts, and living on the California coast ~28 miles south of SF. I'm generally low key and quiet, but a people person. Non-smoker, social drinking only. Pretty informal, and bohemian in lifestyle (no kids, not a homeowner, but renting from our amazing architect friend, Chris Ridgway, whom we consider to be the Frank Lloyd Wright of curved architecture, and happily sharing our home with guests from time to time).
