Getaway from it all to Glenorchy, representing small-town New Zealand at its best. Glenorchy is located on one of New Zealand’s most scenic road trips and just 45 minutes drive from Queenstown. Glenorchy also provides access to the top of Lake Whakatipu and Mount Aspiring National Park, including the world-famous Routeburn Track. This newly built house is well appointed, offers plentiful views of the surrounding mountain tops and is within easy walking distance to everything the town offers.
房源空間 The plywood interior of this three bedroom house has a calming and cosy feel to it, with just enough but not too much space to relax. You’ll get mountain views from every window and native bird life provides a pleasant background to an otherwise quiet and peaceful setting. All three bedrooms have a built-in wardrobe and the master bedroom has an ensuite. There’s also a bathtub in the combined main bathroom and laundry. The house is set on a classic quarter-acre section with plenty of lawn and a large parking area.
The heart of Glenorchy township is a 200 metre walk away, where you’ll find a pub and restaurant along with the historic library and church. You can also walk to the local cafe’s, gift shops and the insta-famous Glenorchy shed (500 metres from the house). Glenorchy also has a nice walkway around the lagoon, a small golf course and tennis courts, which are only 200 metres from the house.
Glenorchy is also the gateway to some of New Zealand’s finest natural scenery. The Routeburn, Rees-Dart and Greenstone-Caples are all a short drive away, not to mention actual Paradise, Lake Whakatipu and the Whakaari Conservation Area. Local activities include tramping/hiking, trail running, horse trekking, fishing, hunting, boating, kayaking, packrafting, heli-skiing, parachuting… and it goes on.
