You would be staying in a private guest room with a bathroom that is down the hall, but private to you. the house is large and has plenty of casual hangout spaces.. we welcome our guests to enjoy the house and not feel like strangers. we enjoy meeting and socializing with our guest, but we also respect privacy if you feel like just sitting in a common area of the house to relax and enjoy your space.

I reside in the home and have a toddler and a dog.. My little one and dog are super friendly and enjoy guests. Our dog is a rescue and gets startled easily so he may bark when you come in the house or if you walk into a common area, he does it with us lol.
