Cae Canol is a Grade 2* listed stone farmhouse. A remote, pet friendly location for country lovers who want to walk off and lose themselves in the hills. It is a beautiful example of a traditional Snowdonia House, with 2 log burning stoves. The fitted kitchen is by the bathroom with bath and Shower.
Pristine views of Snowdonia National Park greet you at the door. The outdoor seating area has views stretching down the valley towards the sea.

Gwynedd, Wales, United Kingdom Cae Canol is a 500 year old farm which is grade Il listed. This cottage is a semi-detached to the original 'farm house', which is also a holiday cottage. Down the farm track is another ‘out building’ which is now a holiday cottage too. There are just these 3 cottages halfway up Manod Mountain and your neighbours will be mostly sheep, as the cottages are in the fieId where sheep live. The closest village is Llan Ffestiniog that has an inn and shop. Blaenau Ffestiniog (5 miles) has the Ffestiniog Railway station, Zip World: Titan and Bounce Below, small super market and shops.

ABOUT THIS SPACE:

This is a cosy semi detached cottage is a grade Il listed 500 year old stone farmhouse half way up Manod mountain. This cottage has been renovated with a mezzanine bedroom above the living room in Cwm Teigl, 2 miles from Llan Ffestiniog. The perfect spot if you wanted to stay in the mountains of Snowdonia, North Wales.

Comfortable open plan design with a contemporary fitted kitchen and shower room. Stunning views of unspoiled the surrounding countryside and Snowdonia from the doorstep and views down the valley towards the coast.

1 MEZZANINE BEDROOM with a Double bed and additional single mattress (access up steep ship's ladder with a hand rail on both sides). Bed linen and hairdryer are provided.

LINEN PROVIDED: Yes.

TOWELS: -At this time, due to Covid regulations, we are asking Guests bring their own TOWELS and TEA TOWELS.

SHOWER ROOM/ WC: With electric shower (downstairs).

LIVING ROOM includes a KITCHEN AREA: Fitted kitchen with integrated hob, oven, fridge and microwave, dishwasher. Table and chairs.

LOUNG AREA: Comfy bed settee and cuddle chair, wood burner and TV/radio/CD/DVD.

PARKING: Ample parking by the cottage.

HEATING: wall mounted motion sensor intelligent electric heater, log burner, and additional oil filled plug in radiators available on request.

ELECTRICITY & HEATING: Included. Logs and kindling available at additional cost of £6 each per bag. Please check availability.

PETS: We welcome 3 well behaved pets that are not tempted by sheep which graze up to the front door. Dogs must be controlled at all times when on the farmers land. However, there will be an extra charge of £20 per pet. You must tell us if you are bring dogs on holiday with you when you make the booking. We will then add the admin charge on your booking.

NB: Electric vehicle charging point available

WATER: The cottage has it's own supply of mountain spring water which is filtered and UV treated.

PLEASE NOTE: YOU are a good 15 minutes drive away from civilisation. Take everything you need for the first day. Warm clothes and sturdy boots are essential up here - even in the summer.

WIFI: There is currently a small data hotspot which functions as a Wi-Fi router in the farmhouse. Additionally, you can get a very good mobile signal with all providers except Vodafone from our experience in all the properties. Please check with your own mobile phone provider website and look at their map of the UK mobile phone coverage to see if they cover the area this cottage is in.

Guests bring their own TOWELS, TEA TOWELS and OVEN GLOVE. Please bring your own SANITISERS, GLOVES, MASKS and ANTIVIRAL DISINFECTANT with you.

• CHECK IN: PLEASE arrive no earlier than 16:00. This is needed to give cleaners plenty of time to sanitise the property for you.

• No additional Guests are allowed inside the property at any time. More people increase the risk of bringing the infection into the property.

• PLEASE OPEN ALL THE DOORS AND WINDOWS FOR A FEW HOURS on the morning of departure if possible.

• CHECK OUT BEFORE 10:00 AM: so we are able to start sanitising the property.

• ESSENTIAL: Beds must be stripped and the LINEN put into the PLASTIC BAG / bing bags. This is to stop any cross contaminating if covid-19 is present.

• RECYCLE as much as you can and REMOVE from the property (see house rules). No tissues in paper recycling, the council will refuse to collect.

• ESSENTIAL: TIDY AND CLEAN THE PROPERTY WHEN YOU LEAVE. DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING BEHIND. This will make it more effective at neutralising any viruses before the cleaners arrive.

MOST IMPORTANTLY you must declare 24 hours before arrival that ALL persons coming to stay at the property are not experiencing Covid-19 symptoms. If anyone starts to show symptoms (sore/dry throat, fever, loss of taste or smell, headache, dry cough) the whole party must leave IMMEDIATELY and self-isolate at home. Welsh Government says: under no circumstances can you isolate in holiday cottages. Inform us IMMEDIATELY If you develop symptoms within a week after your holiday so that we can take appropriate action.

Close to hand is Llan Ffestiniog which has an inn and shop, Blaenau Ffestiniog (5 miles) has the Ffestiniog Railway station, Zip World: Titan and Bounce Below, small super market and shops. The wonderful Black Rock Sands (12 miles) is the closest sandy beach where you can drive straight onto the 3 miles of sands and dunes. If you can tempt yourself off the mountain then visit Harlech Castle (14 miles), Swallow Falls and Betws y Coed (15 miles) in the Conwy valley, Coed y Brenin mountain bike centre (16 miles) and Llanberis at the foot of Snowdon (30 miles).
