Moved here in 1990, our 1940's home was once the Officer's Quarters at Velox Naval Depot. You will enjoy your privacy in the above garage apartment that was once the maids quarters. The apartment has recently been beautifully refinished.

The Maids Quarters has been recently refinished and sleeps two in a cozy double bed. You will find all the necessities including a mini fridge, microwave and a Keurig with an assortment of coffees and teas for your caffeine needs.
A play pen is available if you have an itty bitty traveling with you. Please request it during inquiry.

The Maids Quarters is very secure with private access through the coded outer door and lockable apartment door at the top of one flight of stairs.
You are welcome to use the back yard with horseshoe pits and the deck at your leisure. An evening at the fire pit that can be arranged with the host.

**Please note: I don’t accept reservations booked by someone who isn’t staying unless approved by me ahead of time.
Full bathroom has a bathtub with a handheld shower (Euro style). It is under the dormer (ceiling slopes down toward faucet) and is only functional as a stand up shower for hobbit size folks or smaller.
The Maids Quarters is stocked with games, extra necessities you may have forgotten, as well as books & guides to the area. If you start a book you want to finish, please feel free to take it with you.
We have 2 dogs and 2 cats in the main house and yard, however the Maids Quarters is a pet free zone. We foster dogs and cats frequently, so there may be somebeast else in the yard to greet you.
There are multiple honey bee hives on the property. They are very interesting to sit and watch and are as gentle as can be. It is best to approach them from the side, out of their flight path and try not to look like a black bear (wear light colored clothing). I do keep epi pens on hand in the highly unlikely chance you get stung.

We are right on a main street in a residential area of Spokane Valley which provides for quick and easy access to Downtown as well as shopping & dining in the Valley.
The Maids Quarters is minutes away from Spokane Valley Mall with its variety of restaurants and shops. A couple of our favorite local restaurants in the area are The Max and Twigs. There is also a movie theatre at the mall.
Downtown Spokane is a 20-30 minute drive where you can enjoy many wonderful restaurants, theatre, music venues, shopping and the amazing River Front Park.
There are many churches within walking distance, or a very short drive of the Maids Quarters. Please feel free to ask for recommendations.

*I live life, not worry about or fear it. *I love creatures. Besides 3 people our family consists of 2 dogs, 1 cat, 2 rabbits and several bee hives. I never pass up a zoo. *I love to build/rebuild and create whether it be a garden, craft project, light fixture or a vintage trailer. *I love to see the world either camping or flying to foreign lands. My favorite places have been the jungles of Belize in a one room casita with no electricity and subzero winter in Stockholm. I love history, castles, ruins and old junk. *I am cheap. I buy used clothes, used furniture, used cars. I travel cheap. I don't need stylish hotels...I plan to be out doing stuff, not hanging out there... however I love a comfy bed.
