La Serena is owned and managed by Günter Seibl who took over the property from Derek & Stephanie Mather in December 2020. Derek & Steph, after 30 years experience in the IT industry and commercial and business life, decided to embrace the 21st century with a totally new way of life. With 3 children all grown up , the opportunity to do something completely different was all too attractive.
So, after an extensive search, they fell in love with Umbria, its people and the way of life. They found a building 'shell' and proceeded on the journey that has brought them to the realisation that is La Serena.
Their journey has been well documented and you can discover more about it when you come to stay.
Günter will continue very much in the same spirit as Derek & Steph as they have become good friends and still meet regularly at La Serena.
We look forward to welcoming you to my Villa and will be glad to help with any questions or requests you might have.
