This beautiful room is located on the 2nd floor of our ancient house in the middle of the historic town of Basel facing a quiet alley. It comes with a bed for two, towels, a desk, a clothes rail with shelves and hangers, a big mirror, international/usb plugs, a TV monitor, Bluetooth speaker and free WIFI. The bathroom includes a modern shower, a big sink and mirror as well as a iron and hairdryer. Guests have access to a full-size kitchen and a living room area on the 3rd floor.

The "Director" room is one of two furnished rooms in our film themed house. Besides the cinematic experience inside the building you are in the middle of the old town where the city life is cooking. The building is located in the pedestrian area, there is no traffic noise.
You share bathroom and toilet with the guest in one other room on the same floor.

The room is located on the 2nd floor. The bathroom and restroom are in the corridor on the same floor and are shared with other guests. On the 3rd floor you have access to a cosy living room. There are other rooms (for example a small cinema, meeting room, etc.), which can be booked on request.

Since the house is located in the pedestrian zone, you can only drive to the house to drop off your luggage before 11:00 o'clock by car. Occasionallly a party takes place on the ground floor (in our clubhouse). On Tuesdays a carnival clique practices their songs with piccolos from 19-22 o'clock. We will be happy to inform you about the dates and circumstances of planned events on request.

The exceptional property is located in the heart of the old town of Basel. Thus, many shops, restaurants and bars are within a short distance. The Rhine river is also only a few minutes walking distance, as well as most of the city's sights, such as the cathedral or the town hall. The house accommodates some permanent tenants, guests, a film association member room on the ground floor and also the office of the Gässli Film Festival (which takes place in the end of Summer right outside the door). Depending on the season more or less people are on site. We see each other from time to time.
