The bright and sunny studio penthouse is the top floor studio apartment of our beach house. (there is a larger apartment downstairs, completely separate) The studio is one very large room with skylights and french doors. There is a complete kitchenette, dining area, kingsize bed (an extra single cot or mattress can be set up for a small nightly fee) and private bath with shower. The house is directly on the water, just descend the spiral stairs and you are at the water's edge. The beach is narrow, sometimes waves will come up to the house. Kayaks and snorkel equipment are free. The penthouse includes a big private sundeck for lounging, and wine at sunset. The beach is great for long walks and swimming and gets wider as you go south.
Spotted: dolphins, whales, turtles, pelicans and manatees!
Many original handbuilt pieces of furniture and art add to the fun and beauty of the spaces.
The Studio is perfect for a couple, two friends, or a couple with a child.
A comfortable cot may be available if needed.
We also will rent the entire house, which includes a 3 bedroom apartment, perfect for two families traveling together, or a friends getaway. Additionally, we have mountain rainforest accommodations, for a change of pace...hiking, birdwatching and waterfalls.

We also have mountain jungle accommodations with lots of hiking, waterfalls, birds and gardens.
note regarding pets, we do allow on a case by case basis, please ask first.

A unique neighborhood, with houses built on top of the historical railroad track, which used to circle the island, transporting sugarcane.
Most of the homes are vacation homes, so the beach is usually very quiet. Weekends can be lively, with clubs, restaurants and salsa dancing on the hill above. Music will be heard late into the night on the weekends. The locals are very sociable, and you can walk or drive up the hill to get in on the action.
The neighborhood is quite safe, even very late at night and neighbors include a mix of native Puerto Ricans and Americans, all very friendly.
