Our newly renovated 200-year-old cottage is Contemporary, Stylish, Eco designed whilst retaining its traditional and historic character.

Quiet and relaxing yet less than 25 minutes to Galway, 10 minutes from Athenry/Loughrea Town & lake, and 5 minutes from the M6.
The Cottage is equidistant from Connemara to the North and from the Burren & Cliffs to the South.

Dunsandle Cottage is the perfect place to escape and the perfect location to discover and experience the West of Ireland.
Discover peace, tranquility calm located next door to Dunsandle woods and surrounded by farms

The cottage is located close to exit 16/M6
which makes it very easy to discover the Cliffs, Burren, Galway & Connemara
It is 2.5 miles from local Village Kiltullagh & Mary Wards Pub, and 25 minutes from Galway City.

_ Heat pump with mechanical ventilation makes the cottage super cosy & comfortable.
- Restored and designed using as many natural materials and upcycling id at all possible.
Natural light, space, and bare-back feeling is the overall design of the cottage
The cottage has three bedrooms

- Master bedroom king-size bed with rain head walk-in shower ensuite
- Second bedroom with a double bed
- Third room small double with desk space.
- Main bathroom with walk-in shower area
- open plan living, kitchen area with double height ceilings
- large slider onto the courtyard

IMPORTANT: Due to the high level of insulation used in the house mobile signal is restricted and will work nearer to the window.
Broadband is only mobile at the moment it is okay for searching the internet and Whats App. ( may not be a bad thing to switch off once and a while)

However, Fibre broadband will be connected this winter in the area.
In the meantime, if you need to work from home while you are at the cottage we have a private office space close by the cottage with fibre broadband which is available for your use to come and go as you please

Day 1
Discover the enchanting Dunsandle woods and castle, by foot or by bikes which we can provide, located across from the cottage.
Visit the medieval town of Athenry, and the inspiration for one of Ireland's most famous songs 'The Fields of Athenry, in a 15-minute drive.

Day 2
Enjoy fine dining at the award-winning restaurant Lignum located 5 minutes by car from the cottage. Or taste more traditional Irish food at Maggie Mays, a pub/ restaurant renowned for its steak, located in our local, and lovely town, of Loughrea, which also hosts two excellent supermarkets; Supervalu.
Relax and enjoy Irish whiskey and great Guinness at Mary Ward's, a Traditional Irish Thatched located 2.5 miles away in the local village of Kiltullagh,

Day 3
In less than a 25-minute drive, experience the best of Irish culture, artistry,food and great nightlife and live music in the bohemian and cosmopolitan city of Galway, Ireland's harbour city lying on the West Coast.

Day 4
En route to the breathtaking Cliffs of Moher, take in the spectacular views of the Burren national park. The Burren is a karst landscape of bedrock incorporating a vast cracked pavement of glacial-era limestone, with cliffs and caves, fossils, rock formations, and archaeological sites. On the way back enjoy a satisfying seafood chowder at Linnane's Lobster Bar in New Quay, an Irish pub/restaurant renowned for its fresh seafood.

Day 5
Experience and discover the wild and beautiful landscape of Connemara, which hosts many trails of varying levels, including Diamond hill, a hike that provides a spectacular birds-eye view of the Atlantic and of the Connemara landscape.
