It's a safe neighborhood! You can ride bikes or walk the wide and level roads. Walmart, Winn Dixie, McDonalds, Kohl's, Stewby's, Waffle House, Sonny's BBQ, Peppitos, Tom Thumb, VFW, Lowes, Sam's, and much more only mile or 2 away. The NWFSU is around the corner and the beautiful Okaloosa Island beach and boardwalk is just 4-5 miles away. Destin is a 10 mile drive. Eglin AFB, Hurlburt AFB and the Airport are all just a 10-12 minute drive away. Best bet is to come into the VPS Airport in Fort Walton just 10 minutes away. Cost of living is affordable and our crime rate is low. It's a an excellent and safe community; that's why I live here!
