Leitrim Village is a small village about 5km from Carrick on Shannon. It has an hotel, chinese restuarant, Garage/shop and several pubs for good food/drink. The erne waterway meets the shannon and from balcony can view the boats. This beautiful apartment has a lift and is therefore suitable for disabled. (There is a roof garden reached via a spiral staircase and this part is not suitable for disabled). Sorry but 7 nights minimum booking.

The living room is very large and has one wall of glass (including two glass doors) which lead onto balcony where there is a patio suite. It lets in a lot of heat in morning when sun shines on balcony and it is very enjoyable having breakfast on the balcony and watch the boats.

There is also a roof balcony by way of a spiral staircase. This gets the afternoon sun. I have 17 feet by 12 feet of artifical grass with table, 4 chairs and sun umbrella. (Hopefully you can use umbrella for protection from sun rather than the rain).

The Arigima coal mines are worth a visit. You can see how coal was extracted from this area 30 odd years ago. Lough Key park is also with a visit.

Small friendly village which is safe and quiet. It is nice to be able to walk a few hundred yards without car and enjoy a drink in local pub and also enjoy good food in pubs.

Married to Una with 4 children - oldest at work and youngest at secondary school. I enjoy walks with my dog and simple things in life such as nice pint of Guinness or a wee glass of red wine and good food. I love country and western music and I enjoy watching westerns.
