Due to COVID-19 there are lockdowns in place across the UK and travel is not permitted other than in limited circumstances until at least April. Failure to follow the law is a criminal offence.
A beautiful new conversion in the loft of a 500 year old stone barn with its own steps and front door. Complete kitchen, shower room, king sized bed, and full central heating. Surrounded by unspoilt countryside near village and pub.

The Hayloft is one large studio room that contains a shower bathroom, full kitchen with oven, hob, microwave and fridge, flat screen TV with DVD player, king sized bed, sofa and dining table and chairs. There is room for a cot. (In 2017 I changed the sofa to a sofa bed as a request from a father/son stay, so that two family members who don't want to share the bed can stay comfortably!)
Minimum stay 2 nights.

There is an electric gate at the bottom of the drive; the code 1345E will open this.
Plenty of private off road parking as this is down the driveway and next to the farmhouse. The brick steps are quite steep but there are handrails either side. The door has a number combination lock C2730X so you can get in whenever you want.

We live just below Thakeham village, a typical small Sussex village with pub, school and church. Its a lovely place to walk to if it is not too muddy. There is a footpath from the bottom of the drive, that takes you over the field, sty and through a wood up to the pub. Alternatively you can go down the little lane which keeps feet dry. The pub is independent and the food is fresh. Most guests really enjoy the experience.

I was born in West Sussex and although I have lived around the world, I have come back home because I love it. I have three grown up daughters, the youngest is a vet and lives from home. Her four horses live here too and keep me busy when she is working. West Sussex provides everything I want, not too far from London and Brighton with the beach just 10 miles away.
