We are located in the "quiet end", on a private residential dead end street in the historic artist colony of Rocky Neck. Nearby public transportation, including water taxi, restaurants,beaches, walks, water activities,cultural events and the Gloucester Stage Company. Parking is on street with a parking lot nearby, if needed.

Covid 19 has impacted all or us, but we still would like a change of pace and enjoy safe spaces and beautiful areas. Our loft is a stand alone apartment, meaning you would be the only ones in the space. We will have it cleaned and ready for your arrival. We provide sheets and towels but some are bringing their own. It is uncertain what the public beach access will be for 2021, regarding parking. Good Harbor Beach is aprox. 1.5 miles away, Niles Beach is aprox. 3/4 mile away, very doable to walk. There are beautiful walks and hikes nearby, bike riding and areas to put your kayak or paddle board in for a paddle around the harbor. Rocky Neck offers nooks and crannies to hang out and relax. Come join us- we will be safe and respectful.
The loft has a unique cottage like feel in a comfortable studio set up, max 2 people. High quality memory foam mattress for full size pull out. The space is pine wood paneled with 3 skylights, newly finished pine floor. This is an ideal space for artists or people who enjoy being in a neighborhood surrounding, wanting to get away from it all. This studio apartment has all the amenities and comfort with some sea side feeling and character. There is NO heat except a small space heater. Bathroom and shower are down a short flight of stairs( a little steeper than regular stairs) with a timed heater. During 2020, this space was used by many as a workplace getaway.

On street parking or in public lot. You have your own entrance and private living space with shared 'garden/yard storage' on lower level, where you can stow your luggage. No use of owners backyard. Public small beach 100ft down the street. Niles Beach within walking distance and Good Harbor Beach 1.5miles away.
Due to Covid, we ask you always bring a mask with you for public places, and practice social distancing. We are trying to make this a safe space. Many thanks, enjoy your stay.

St. Peter's Fiesta is usually the last week of June. Leave your car, walk or take the water shutter or trolley into town. ( 2 miles away)
PLEASE inquire about WEEKLY or MONTHLY availability.
THERE IS 2 NIGHT MINIMUN. Not available after Oct. 30-April. ( no heat).
Weeknights: Sun-Thurs. $95-105
(exceptions May 28th, June 27, July 2 and Sept 3)
Weekends: Fri-Sun $125-$130

Birding is popular in the area as well as whale watching, fishing trips and boating, it is a great area for walking and biking. Sailor Stan's a breakfast and lunch restaurant along with The Studio and The Rudder are open and have early season specials.

I am not a native of Gloucester but have lived in this location for 45 years and love it. I am happy to share my love of Rocky Neck, the beautiful ocean, gardens, art scene and sheer beauty of Cape Ann. There is plenty to do - or do nothing but relax on the rocks or nearby beaches. Should be available to answer questions /text or call. If I should not we will be around we will have backup help.
Please note: downstairs are my gardening tools which I need to access at times during the day, on occasion. I am a big gardener, which you will appreciate. We also store our kayak paddles on the wall and may need to get at various times. I have yet to have anyone complain about this, I am respectful of your privacy and will not disturb you.
