Built in 1863 our house is one of the oldest in Port Chalmers and retains many of its original features. The studio is situated on the ground floor and consists of one exclusively furnished bedroom with a queen bed, a seating area, a walk-in wardrobe and a large ensuite bathroom.
There are tea and coffee making facilities, a toaster and a small fridge, a flat-screen TV/DVD player and free Wi-Fi.
A unique feature of the studio is that it serves both as guest accommodation and as an art gallery and some of the artwork on display is available for sale.
A continental breakfast (including freshly baked bread, croissants, toast, ham, cheese, fresh fruit, organic muesli, various spreads, yoghurt and fruit juice) can be served in the studio on request (at an additional cost of $15 per person) or if you prefer you can have breakfast at one of our excellent local cafes.

The house is conveniently located just a few minutes walk from George Street, Port Chalmers main shopping street with its eclectic mix of cafes, pubs, galleries, second hand shops, supermarket etc.
It's a 10-minute drive to Forsyth Barr Stadium or 12 minutes to central Dunedin, always following the road along the beautiful Otago Harbour. Or you can enjoy beaches and wildlife in Aramoana or Long Beach or discover some native birds at the Orokonui Ecosanctuary, all just a short drive away.
