Perfect for festival goers, weekend getaway or corporate stay. Yards away from Big Stacy Park and Pool as well as the walking trail to Lady Bird Lake. Walk to South Congress. Our DCA built apartment sits under a canopy of pecan trees behind our original home on Travis Heights Boulevard. The property neighbors beautiful homes built as early as 1890 and others newly constructed and designed by reputable, local architects.

Welcome to Travis Heights! This quiet, historic neighborhood located just south of Town Lake provides visitors a genuine South Austin experience.
Shortly after we moved in, we learned that our house was used in the 1993 film 'Dazed and Confused' by Richard Linklater. You can see the house best when Tony (Anthony Rapp) and Sabrina (Christin Hinojosa) are kissing goodbye (a tender moment) at the end of the film.
Our DCA built apartment sits under a canopy of pecan trees behind our original home on Travis Heights Boulevard. The property neighbors beautiful homes built as early as 1890 and others newly constructed and designed by reputable, local architects.
The guest suite is perfect for a few nights stay and includes a private entrance and outdoor patio for dining. The shared laundry room located in carport just outside of the guest suite. Refrigerator, Microwave, Coffee Maker and filtered water accompany some basic kitchen tools. Local coffee, tea and chocolates are always in stock. Guest also have access to backyard and can easily walk 100 steps to the neighborhood pool (heated in winter).
Seasonal Events like ACL, F1, and SXSW require a 4 night minimum rental.
The rooftop deck and laundry are shared spaces. Although they are rarely occupied by more than one guest. If you let us know in advance, we can reserve those spots for you.

The suite is located in the downstairs of a larger building. Similar to a 2 story home, the foot traffic above you can sometimes be heard down below. If you are a light sleeper or are sensitive to noise, let us know and we will provide you with some earplugs for your stay.
The guest suite has a coffee maker, microwave, small fridge and access to laundry facilities (shared). More like a really nice private entrance hotel room, this space is best for guests who plan to dine out at the many establishments near by.
Festival season (SXSW and ACL) require full weekend stays. No Sat or Sun check in.
