This home, built in 2009 by a master builder, is located 15 miles from Tanglewood and 5 miles from Jacob's Pillow. It features custom woodworking, dining alcove and timber-framed interior including a sunken 'cruck' sitting room with gas fireplace.
Due to much fine woodwork and short flights of stairs that don't require guard rails but may pose a hazard, the house is not suitable for toddlers.

Two bedrooms, one downstairs and one upstairs, each have an attached full bath. The downstairs bath has a shower and upstairs a tub. Each bedroom has a queen bed with memory foam mattress. There is also a pull-out sofa bed in a downstairs sitting room. A fully-equipped kitchen includes an electric range/oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, toaster and black concrete countertops. Gas-fired hot water radiators (downstairs) and radiant floors upstairs allow year-round occupancy. Wifi available throughout the house. A TV monitor is supplied with HDMI cable to hook up to your computer or DVD player; there is no satellite, cable or broadcast reception. Linens supplied. Outdoor stone patio.

The nearest large grocery stores and gas are 12 miles away, in Lee or Pittsfield. The Appalachian Trail is 3 miles away, with lakes for canoeing and fishing nearby (kayak rentals also). The house is on a paved road which is wonderful for walking and views; very rural and private.
The tap water in the guesthouse is from a 500-foot deep top-of-the-Berkshires well and is pure, delicious and safe to drink .
