Alexandria is in Fairfax county which is one of the richest counties in the USA. All bedrooms feature ceiling fans and lights. The back yard has an oriental rock garden with pool, waterfall, fish and stone lantern. The house features a lot of original artwork from asia and europe and a mixture of antique and modern furniture.

One bedroom furnished with antiques and located in a three bedroom townhouse in Alexandria, Virginia. We are within a twenty five minute walk of the Metro subway and a twenty minute drive from the National Mall in the District. Occupants may share the whole house with owners. Includes private bath for renters. There is a sauna and electric message chair available. Renters may use the deck, family room, living room and kitchen with owners. There are about twelve restaurants within a twently minute walk. Nearby is a three mile nature trail. There is a free homeowner's pool for summer use. The pool is within walking distance. Parking is available. This is a very safe area to live and walk. We have a very large kitchen with granite countertops and with two refridgerators to accomidate guests. All appliances are new. Cooking is permitted. If you will be traveling to DC suggest you check out "slug-lines.com" on internet. This is a metro-wide system of casual and free ride sharing. You can use a bus to connect to the despatch points but it works best by car. It is a great way to avoid driving to DC or the cost of the subway. We have a bike that can be used to go to metro, takes 10 minutes.

There is ample shopping at Springfield Town Center and the Kingstown shopping area, both 10 minutes away. As much as they desire. We sometimes go out to dinner or have it at home with guests in a potluck situation. They may go to the supermarket or on hikes with us.
