Note: There is an additional charge of $20 per/night for the use of the second bedroom or, each additional guest after two.

You will enjoy completely private space within the historic section of our home. Guests will enjoy the living room with fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, bedroom or bedrooms, office and laundry room. There are two sets of stairs. You may enjoy the outdoor room with picnic table, gas grill, and casual seating. Great area for a cookout, entertain a small group, play games, or just hang out and enjoy our ever-evolving garden. There is abundant free parking in the front and rear of the home. We are walking distance to Portsmouth Naval Medical Center (convenient for business travelers) and the C.G. 5th District Command Offices (convenient for rotating medical students) and Tidewater Yacht Marina at Mile Marker Zero on the Intercostal Waterway (take a break from your watercraft). I can provide an off-floor queen air mattress, a single floor mattress, and a Pak-n-play. One bedroom is provided for a couple. There is a $20 fee for the use of the second bedroom and/or each additional guest after two.

We provide beach chairs, umbrella, towels, beach toys, floats, and a cooler for our guests to use for day trips to the beach or elsewhere. Our home is a great central location for day trips to Virginia Beach and Williamsburg/Jamestown.
There are two flights of stairs to the bedrooms. The den, on the first level, has a queen sleep sofa for persons having difficulty navigating stairs.

Location, Location, Location. We are in the Historic Neighborhood of Olde Towne. It is the highest concentration of historic homes between Alexandria, VA, and Charleston, SC. Walking distance to most anything you want or need. Our home is less than one block from the Elizabeth River waterfront. You can stroll along the seawall, through the marina (Ships and Slips Restaurant in the marina) or just around the beautiful neighborhood. Jump on the ferry (one block away, 10-minute ride) and experience the new Waterside Entertainment District in Norfolk where you will find free entertainment on most Spring and Summer weekends (something for everyone).

Shortly after my working career, I happened upon becoming an AIRBNB host in 2015. I had no idea whatsoever that sharing the historic part of my home would become something I would become passionate about. Little did I know it would allow me such wonderful experiences and great satisfaction. I have hosted travelers from as far as Shanghai, South America and Europe. I enjoy my family, neighbors, boat cruising, gardening, cooking and entertaining. Now retired, we hope to one day, before too long, cruise the “Inner Loop”.
