“In the late 1800's Filipino intellectuals and warrior-poets started using the word "Indio" (a derogatory term to refer to the Islands' natives) as a badge of honor and a source of pride. They eventually formed a society that fought for reforms and more rights for their countrymen and called themselves "Los Indios Bravos" --- The Brave Natives. This gastropub is a tribute to all those pioneering men for we too are breaking new ground in Boracay as we are the first to showcase all-Filipino handcrafted beers on tap paired with classic pub food from all over the world.”

“Lemoni Café and Restaurant is a good spot for a light lunch and a break from shopping at D’Mall, with a broad range of ciabatta and baguette sandwiches to choose from. If you want to sample the local cuisine, the menu also has several Filipino dishes to choose from.”

“At nonie’s, we are believers in the slow food movement and the philosophy that everyone has the right to good, clean and fair food. This is what we aim to achieve through bringing our processing in house, baking our bread daily, making all our sauces and marinades from scratch, and using only the freshest ingredients possible. We also strive to be inclusive to those with food restrictions and allergies, giving our customers a place they can trust and feel good to eat at.”

“Smoke Restaurant’s menu is mainly comprised of Filipino dishes. However, the meals are prepared in such a way as to appeal even to foreign taste buds. Aside from these, the restaurant also serves a wide selection of food, such as beef and seafood dishes, pasta, sandwiches, and others. Their specialties include Bicol Express, Bulalo, Chicken Curry, Lechon Kawali, Sinigang, and Stuffed Squid with Sizzled Vegetables. Smoke Restaurant has a very affordable price range of 100 to 120 pesos, with some meals even costing as low as 50 pesos. A beer to go with the meal costs about 30 pesos. Since Filipino appetites are smaller than those of foreigners, however, servings likewise tend to be rather small. But since the dishes are affordable, customers can order as much as they like without spending too much. What’s even more interesting is that Smoke Restaurant actually allows their customers to bring their own food! That is, they can bring some raw food with them and have the restaurant cook it according to their specifications. One can buy raw meat, seafood or any other item from the nearby Boracay Wet Market and have the restaurant prepare it for them. The price of the resulting dish would depend on the raw food’s weight and on the method of cooking.”

“This Boracay Starbucks branch has one of the best views in the Philippines. This two-storey building offers friendly and attentive staff with an open-air veranda on its second floor. If you know what you want, the Starbucks Café in Boracay gives access to the standard coffee fare that you’re used to back home. However, the views of the white sandy beach and turquoise-coloured ocean set this spot apart from the rest of its locations worldwide.”

“Our philosophy of impacting lives from seed and leaf to cup is steeped in everything we do. By staying connected to the people for whom coffee and tea is a livelihood, we go beyond fair wages by giving back to the plantations, estates, and communities that grow our products by supporting their financial, educational, and medical needs. Cultivating these close ties benefits everyone; from the local growers to our global customers who get to taste the benefits of our partnerships.”
