Explore Harry Potter's London Tour
PLEASE be aware the tour is offered in English only, and it is largely story-based, so a better-than-basic conversational grasp of English will be required. Join me as we venture into the magical wizarding world! Starting at Piccadilly Circus we will journey through the city and learn the history of Harry Potter in London in film, book, and even real-life form! We will watch clips as they played out in the movies while I explain the behind-the-scenes stories of those locations as well as the history of J.K. Rowling's time in London. Our first stop will be the entrance to Diagon Alley, before we pop down to see the Ministry of Magic, and the Leaky Cauldron, as well as others I don't want to spoil. I will also share some of the weirdest facts I've learned about London along the way We will finish at Borough Market with King's Cross just a seperate Tube ride away. While witches and wizards of ALL ages are totally welcome, there is a LOT of walking, so I recommend it more for older kids (11+) Strictly one person per slot, group limit 12. No exceptions. Step-free route for wheelchairs available, message for details.
Discover London's Gruesome History
Want to see a side to London that will give you goosebumps? The REAL London... a city of serial killers, murder, disease, and crime, buried in dusty textbooks but rarely spoken about? Then forget about your trip to the Tower of London or your Jack the Ripper tour. What you need is London's Gruesome History. Our tour begins at the world-famous London Bridge, a site of cold-blooded murder and humiliation for London's executed criminals. Led by your fearless guide Tom, Matt, Anna, Benny or Dominic, you will experience the blood-curdling history behind London's iconic landmarks The Tower of London, The Monument, and North Bank. Then, if you are feeling brave, we will head into the back streets of east London to uncover the tales of murder and disease that lie in wait for you between Aldgate and Whitechapel. On this tour, you won't just hear about Jack the Ripper, the Plague, the Great Fire of London, and the brutal treatment of London's criminals (which we all want to hear about of course), but also lesser known killers, the great smog, the London Beer Flood, the Kray twins, Phosey Jaw, and the famous Gunpowder Plot. Our tales will disturb, horrify and crack your sides with laughter. But beware, this tour is not for the faint of heart. The ghosts of London's sadistic characters and vengeful victims lurk around every corner, and misery loves company...
Crawl East London's Craft Beer scene
East London is central to London's brewing history, from the old Truman's brewery through to today's trendy craft beer tap rooms. Join us for fun weekend night and journey the graffiti-covered streets of Hackney stopping at choice tap rooms, bottle shops, breweries, and trendy pubs. Our crack team of tireless boozers will lead you to the best beer and coolest joints in town, covering a panoply of tastes and tipples, and making sure your thirst is suitably sated. We’ll explore the pubs and breweries of Bethnal Green, Hackney, the Wick, and Dalston, discuss London's booming craft beer scene, acquire some exciting new beers, eat some street food, and share a drink and a bit of conversation. We’ll walk far enough for the whole thing to legitimately count as exercise. Over the last few years we’ve watched London’s craft beer scene take over the entire city and create some brilliant spaces, and now we’re excited to be able to share it with you. The beer scene is a great way to have some weekend fun in some of the trendier parts of East London without growing a moustache, playing synth, or buying a fixie (though you are free to do that as well).
A London Literary Pub Crawl - in Soho.
Meet Nick in historic Fitzrovia, then take in around a dozen or so pubs and clubs of our tour. It takes about two and a half to three hours and we end up about a mile away, in Soho, next to The Palace Theatre in Shaftesbury Avenue, for an (optional) sing-song around a piano! (Thursdays and Saturdays) We look at places frequented by many of the great 19th and 20th century poets and writers, including Dickens, Brendan Behan, Dylan Thomas, Anthony Burgess, George Orwell and Virginia Woolf et al, and a few earlier writers such as Samuel Johnson and William Blake. We see where Dylan Thomas met his wife and look at other incidents that inspired some great works. We later include places visited and used by some more modern artists and writers; Paul McCartney: Damien Hurst and Julian Fellows, etc. There are readings along the way. As a current writer, Nick will give you a unique insight into an area of London that changed the world creatively. We don't go into all the pubs because they are busy and we'd get very twisted drinking in all of them (!) but there is plenty of opportunity for breaks.
Speedboat through the heart of London
We will see London's historic sights aboard the biggest speedboat on the River Thames. Your skipper will be David, the owner of Thames Tigers, assisted by either Debbie or Ruth, David's partner or daughter. The trip will start in the heart of the city at Blackfriars Pier. It'll take us 6 minutes to reach the high-speed zone on the river, during which time you will get a guided tour past Tate Modern, St Paul's Cathedral, Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, the Golden Hind, under London Bridge, past The Monument, the Walkie Talkie building, Old Billingsgate Fish Market, HMS Belfast, The Tower of London and get a great selfie as we go under Tower Bridge. Then hold tight as we open the throttles and blast at 35mph (56km/hr) for 10 miles (16km) through historic Wapping; Canary Wharf; the Cutty Sark at Greenwich to the O2 Arena, where we'll do a high speed turn for home. If we're lucky we may even spot some seals! PLEASE NOTE THE LENGTH OF THE ACTUAL TRIP IS 45 MINUTES When you buy an airline ticket you have the opportunity to offset the CO2 produced by paying for Carbon Credits. We buy these on your behalf and believe the small addition to our operating cost is a price worth paying. Please ask if you'd like more information
Explore the history of the WWII Blitz
From Monument Underground Station, we'll cross over London Bridge and zigzag through the streets of London's Southwark neighborhood. We'll identify and appreciate the war monuments, plaques, buildings, and structures that suffered damage or protected Londoners during the World War Two Blitz. We'll learn what it was like to live in London during this period through the stories of events that took place in this part of the city. The walk will take about two hours to complete, and we'll finish inside the Imperial War Museum. The museum entry is free of charge, and we can learn more and enjoy some refreshments. This experience is suitable for children.

The Bible in the British Museum Tour
Reading the historical biblical events can be daunting at times. But it doesn't have to be this way, after all, the Bible was inspired by a personal God to be read by ordinary people. However, the differences we find in culture, language, place, and time can distort our view. This tour at the magnificent British Museum presents extra-biblical corroboration for the historical details found in the Scriptures. It is not designed to prove that the Bible is the 'Word of God'. Rather, it is designed to look at the archaeological evidence, as well as modern science to support the historical veracity of the Bible. We start our tour with one of the most visited items in the British Museum. The Rosetta Stone unlocked the ancient Egyptian Hieroglyphics. Since then, historians have found out much about the past. Thanks to the Rosetta Stone, we are now able to understand one of the greatest mysteries found in the biblical account of Hezekiah King of Judah. But this is only one of the fascinating stories we will unfold as we travel back in time. Check our website for further details: https://www.thebibleinthebm.co.uk/
