“Tate Modern observation deck - Tate Modern is a great museum to visit for those interested in art. It is now also home to a top observation deck located on the 10th floor. This is even free to access. From this lookout, you can enjoy views to the East, North and West. As sunset is often across the river this makes it one of the best places to go in London for sunset as well as into the blue hour.”

Famous works include those by Rembrandt, Gainsborough, Poussin, Watteau, Canaletto, Rubens, Veronese and Murillo amongst many others. “Our MMarketplace is where selected food suppliers and our trading partners connect with our visitors to breathe life into healthy living that helps local communities grow strong together. MM brings diverse food practices and ingredients from different countries, cultures and traditions into urban environments. We take a ‘Glocal’ approach: global reach with a local focus. While you will find dishes from around the world in our marketplace, we encourage the use of locally-sourced, natural ingredients. Mercato Metropolitano started with a pilot project in 2015 during the World Expo in Milan, regenerating a 150,000 sq.ft. disused railway station. The development of the first Mercato Metropolitano was carefully planned to retain the site’s original appearance, which nurtured the local community’s affection for a special part of their urban history. Over a four-month period, we saw in excess of two million visitors and our customer spend was over €8 million. The concept evolved from this success, and we opened our first site in Elephant & Castle, London in 2016.”

“Located in a former bus depot, Ministry of Sound was once the epitome of warehouse cool and is still perhaps the UK’s best-known clubbing venues: thus, any self-respecting fan of dance music in any form should visit Ministry at least once. To be honest, though, once won't be enough when you've seen the fun you can have in this gargantuan beat playground. Laid out across four dancefloors and various bars, there’s lots to explore thanks to the club's extensive refurb at the end of 2013, as well as a shift towards more underground pastures in the music programming, too.”

“Hay's Galleria is a mixed use building in the London Borough of Southwark situated on the south bank of the River Thames featuring offices, restaurants, shops, and flats. Originally a warehouse and associated wharf (Hay's Wharf) for the port of London, it was redeveloped in the 1980s. It is a Grade II listed structure. During the nineteenth century, the wharf was one of the chief delivery points for ships bringing tea to the Pool of London.[1] At its height, 80% of the dry produce imported to London passed through the wharf, and on this account the Wharf was nicknamed 'the Larder of London'. ”

“If you love novelist P.G. Wodehouse’s descriptions of 1920s and ’30s London, you’ll find it alive in the arcade between Piccadilly and Bond Street. It’s the quintessence of Englishness, glitzy and luxurious, and it features in Wodehouse’s Jeeves novels. One character goes there to buy socks as a potential cure for a broken heart. Though this arcade, with its perfume shops, jewellers, and designer clothing stores is an elegant place to wander, be warned: Prices are extortionate!”

“Having celebrated its 1,000th birthday in 2014, it’s fair to say Borough Market is one of London’s more established haunts. Located under a maze of Victorian railway arches and open Monday to Saturday, Borough Market is stuffed with lovely food and food-lovers. It offers all you need for a memorable grab-and-go breakfast or lunch, but is also a good place for a simple wander.”

“One of Londons oldest markets, it sells everything. Fresh fruit and veg, shoes, clothes, birthday cards, quite a bit of tat... it's got the lot. It's the opposite of hipster! A real market in real London. Still some very old school traders working here. Charlie Chaplin was also born nearby. Closed Mondays.”
