This space is ideal for single travellers or couples seeking to explore some epic Cornish sights.
There is a walk in power shower, a toilet & your own kitchen with stylish lighting & a beautiful shabby chic dining table & stools. There is also a small sofa downstairs & another small sofa/futon upstairs. Just outside there is a table & chairs for alfresco dining with a BBQ & all essentials for alfresco dining.
Our barn conversion has a cosy mezzanine, exposed beams & a charming low roof (unsuitable for anyone 6.2ft plus). It is bursting with character & is located within a peaceful courtyard. The converted row of barnes, which used to be pig sty’s are small but perfect for couples wanting a very affordable holiday to Cornwall. The communal courtyard boats some stunning sub-tropical plants.
Inside there are fairy lights on the main beam of the barn, a comfy double bed with luxury quilted bedding & a small futon.

Set on a working farm, you'll find plenty of friendly cows around & the chance for a relaxing break, with the nearest beach being less than a 5 minute drive away. It's ideal for a laid back holiday with pleanty to explore & suits walkers in particular as it is close to long distance trails. The best of Cornwall will be at your fingertips!
There are lots of local annual events such as Falmouth Sea Shanty Festival & Falmouth Week that takes place in peak season, second week of April.

Conveniently located half way between The Helford River & Falmouth Town.
Located in an area of outstanding natural beauty, we are extremely lucky to be surrounded with an abundance of nature, lots of points of interest & tourist attractions.
Set on a peaceful farm, surrounded by green pastures & panoramic views of the sea, this is a very special place where the sea meets the stars & where all of your worries can melt away, with no clocks, no cares, no deadlines or dramas.
Here you will discover miles of picturesque coast line & quaint villages. A huge variety of wildlife such as seals, dolphins & many different species of sea birds, wild pheasants, owls, bats, buzzards & kestrels are regularly seen in the surrounding area.
There is also a cafe located here at the farm, less than a 5 minute walk from your accommodation. They cook amazing breakfasts for walkers, visitors to the area, locals & campers who stay at our campsite, again located 5 minutes away. The campsite has absolutely gorgeous views over Falmouth Bay & is one of the oldest campsites in Cornwall.
There is a farm shop just half a mile away at Argal & half a mile away in the other direction you will find the local village of Mawnan Smith, where there is a thatched roof pub, as well as a doctors surgery, charity shop, Spanish restaurant, estate agents & a hairdressers.
If you would like a little luxury whilst staying away from home, there is a 4 star hotel located a mile down the road. The Budock Vean has a large indoor swimming pool, with an outdoor hot tub that overlooks the grounds of this exclusive hotel. There is also a spa & a golf course, all of these facilities are open to the public as well as their guests.
There are a great range of activities suitable for couples & families, which are all within a ten minute drive from the farm, these include, WeSUP paddle-boarding, Elementary UK – windsurfing, kayaking & kite-surfing . There is also The Flicka Donkey Foundation, Argal Reservoir, Falmouth cinema, numerous art galleries, lots of shops & The National Maritime Museum.
The area is hugely popular with walkers whom are wanting to cover some of the country’s most stunning coast line which includes local treasures that lie alongside the Helford River, such as the picturesque hamlet of Durgan - where you can take in the surrounding beauty, Grebe Beach - where you can spend sunny afternoons cooking BBQ’s on the beach.
The Ferryboat Inn overlooks the Helford river & again is just a 5 minute drive away. Serving seafood, fine wines, a range of Cornish Ales & a selection of Cornish Gins this place is definitely somewhere to check out whilst on your holiday & boat trips can be organised across the river to another quaint pub called the Shipwrights.
The Helford is abundant with nature & boasts beautiful creeks, including the famous Frenchman’s creek, one of the most stunning parts of the Helford & was made famous when Daphne De Maurier wrote of her treasured holiday visits, inspired by this magical place.
The collection of creeks that form the estuary are perfect for kayaking as they are sheltered from the open ocean, there are numerous easy to launch locations & the river is full of amazing secluded spots, perfect for enjoying seldom moments of pure tranquillity.
Cornwall is famous for its beautiful beaches with good reason. A great day out can be had at Meanporth beach, with paddle boarding & Kayak hire available to explore the crystal blue Cornish waters, this beach is where the campsite overlooks, out onto the bay. There are also beaches either side of Meanporth, each being just 1 mile away, these are Swanpool (where there are a range of watersport activities, an adventure centre, a café, as well as a lake nature reserve) but if you like quieter beaches & are looking for a more secluded, relaxing experience, then Woodlands beach may be more suitable, with enchanted footpaths through woods leading down onto the coast path, this is actually the closest beach to the campsite (5 minute drive).
Not only are we blessed with miles of stunning coast paths but we are also extremely lucky to have the award winning subtropical garden of Trebah on our doorstep. Trebah gardens is located overlooking & leading on to the Heford River, there is a beach at the bottom of a breath-taking walk down through the gardens & many events are held here during the year. Just down the road from Trebah is another popular attraction - Glendurgan Gardens - featuring a huge maze! These gardens are looked after by the National Trust.
During the prestigious Tall Ships week in June & vibrant Falmouth Week in August, Falmouth town will come to life, with some big names coming to town, lots of entertainment, stalls & themed nights, there really is something for everyone.
During Falmouth Week The Red Arrows perform a spectacular display over the bay & rather impressively fly right over Penwarne Farm. In the summer, Falmouth is also host to the Oyster Festival & the Sea Shanty Festival.
Falmouth is a thriving seaside town which has the third natural deepest harbour in the world, there are many boat tours including trips to St Mawes departing frequently from Custom House Quay where there are also many pubs & restaurants in the vicinity offering a range of culinary or why not grab a pasty & eat it on one of the quays whilst watching the boats sail in the harbour. Altenatively, you can explore the local creek side villages of Port Navas & Gweek.
