Welcome to the lovely 'Uilengeluk'! The beautifully renovated accommodation is housed in a listed monument building from (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) The name of the house refers to the rare barn owl that lives around here. In addition to owls, you can also spot pheasants and deer in the garden.
This rural, completely renovated accommodation has all its rooms on the ground floor and sleeps up to 6 people. The house is equipped with all modern comforts and the owners furnished it with a great eye for detail. Many of the authentic features were kept and they give a lovely, traditional feel to the place. The holiday home consists of 3 bedrooms, a bathroom, separate toilet, living room with open fireplace and a fully equipped kitchen. The master bedroom and one other bedroom are both equipped with very comfortable, double, box-spring beds and a washbasin. The third bedroom is furnished with two single beds. These beds are lower than most standard beds, because they are stacked on top of each other in case of single occupancy. The former pig sty has been transformed into a laundry room, where you'll find a washing machine and dryer.
Your holiday home enjoys a natural setting and is surrounded by fields. You'll love the feeling of freedom it provides! The large garden completes the picture. This beautiful, lush, 700-m2 space hosts a variety of fruit trees, including quinces, apples and figs. Guests can pick and enjoy all the fresh fruit from the garden. The vast and open landscape of Zeeland province is perfect for a relaxing holiday.
The location of the house is ideal for a wide range of activities. You'll find the nearest beach at the Veerse Meer as close as a 5-minute walk away. The coast is also within easy reach and is great for long walks. Other interesting things to do in the area include kiting, surfing and sailing. In short: the perfect place for water sports lovers! A city trip to nearby Middelburg or Domburg is also worthwhile. The villages of Vrouwenpolder and Oostkappelle are within easy reach.
There are some nice walks in the area, including the Laarzenpad ('welly trail'). You can find a farmer's shop at 5 minutes' walking distance. This is also a nice place to bring the kids and watch the milking of the cows.
- Due to its rural location, this holiday home doesn't have the usual range of TV channels. There's a smart TV though, which is set up with Netflix, a video provider and (Hidden by Airbnb) chromecast. You can use chromecast to watch programmes from your own smartphone or tablet on the TV. The internet connection is very reliable!
- This rural location isn't connected to the sewage system; there is a tank instead. Please do the owners and the local nature a favour and use the (supplied) eco soap and use the water sparingly.
