“Maybe it's a bit trite, but no visit to Philadelphia would be complete without a run up the Art Museum steps. As a bonus, those steps are connected to a world-renowned collection of paintings, sculptures, and photographs. After you've conquered the iconic climb, make sure to get a picture with the Rocky statue off to the right of the steps at street level.”

“This is one of the most iconic symbols of Philadelphia. Any trip to the historical sites would be incomplete without stopping to see the bell and hear a bit about its history.”

“Largest of four city parks offering great shopping (off Walnut street) and dining options. Pop into Parc for a bite and a cocktail at Steven Starr's flagship Art deco-inspired French Eatery (18th/Locust). Or simply sit on a park bench and enjoy people-watching (and puppy-watching). Grab a book at Joseph Fox's Bookstore (Walnut/17th) and settle into La Colombe (Walnut/19th) for an unforgettable cup of coffee.”

“Pat's and Geno's are the two most recognizable spots to grab a cheesesteak for people outside of the city. People who live in the city, however, think of them as a bit of a tourist trap. If you must make the trip over and see for yourself, it's about a 10-minute walk. We'd recommend Pat's, as it's less of a spectacle than the neon monstrosity of Geno's”

“The Magic Gardens spans three city lots, and includes indoor galleries and a large outdoor labyrinth. It is a giant piece of art you can walk through and explore nooks & crannies. It is whimsical & facinating. To date, it is the largest work created by mosaic artist Isaiah Zagar. They host fun events, DIY art nights, live music & BYOB. Check the website calender for more information. ”

“The Art Museum has always been one of my favorite places in Philadelphia. I love the location, very walkable. Actually if you have time to.spare I would recommend renting a bike (Belmont/Parkside) and taking a ride through Fairmount Park along MLK Drive and checking out the Water Works which is located on the back side of the Art Museum ”

“I always pass through here on the way to visit my parents or just getting to the other side of town. It's a great building, full of architectural details. Dilworth Park, on the west side, has an ice skating rink in the winter and a run through water fountain in the summer. Love Park, across the street at the end of Ben Franklin Parkway, has the LOVE sculpture and a great view up the parkway to the Philadelphia Museum of Art (with the Rocky steps). A great place to hang out and take a break.”
