This workshop takes place at Carta Alta, an artisanal mask making studio that created many of the masks worn in famous film productions, such as “Gossip Girl”, “Fifty Shades of Black” and “Spider-Man Far From Home”. The experience starts with a brief explanation of the history of masks in Venice, focusing on the most significant models: the “Commedia dell'Arte" masks, the “Bauta” the “Moretta” and the “Dottore della Peste”. After this introduction we pass on to show you the main techniques we use in our craft when decorating the masks, mainly focusing on our signature: the “baroque technique”. We will prepare for you a wide range of paper-mache masks to choose from and our friendly expert team will assist you in the creation of the handmade masterpiece that you will take home with you in the end. There will of course be time to ask all the questions you would like, and we are happy to share our knowledge about this antique venetian craft and the explanations will be adjusted according to the age and the interests of the participants.And remember, if you want you can take pictures with your creation and our famous masks to share with your friends. I workshops consistono in un'ora e mezza di lavoro e divertimento divisi in due parti. La prima prevede l'uso di una piastra trasparente in vetro dove gli ospiti realizzeranno una figura con pezzi di vetro di Murano, chiamati graniglia, che verrà poi cucinato in forno. Il vetro si fonderà e la figura realizzata rimarrà all'ospite. La seconda parte, consiste in una fase dimostrativa da parte del Maestro e successivamente una prova pratica degli ospiti della lavorazione del vetro di Murano. Gli ospiti lavoreranno il vetro con la fiamma e proveranno la piacevole sensazione dell'antica lavorazione a lume. I workshop sono ideali anche per famiglie con bambini sopra ai 12 anni, che adoreranno la magia del vetro. Altre cose da tenere a mente I lavori terminati nella prima parte del workshop, verranno cotti nel forno per circa 3 ore, mentre gli oggetti realizzati con la fiamma saranno pronti dopo 2 ore di raffreddamento. With my small open and comfortable 6 meter motor boat, exclusively for you, we're going to enjoy the sunset in the lagoon, in my opinion the best time to appreciate it, starting from the residential area of Cannaregio, and then sailing to the northern lagoon in the Burano and Torcello area, where you can admire colors and a pristine lagoon, tasting a prosecco doc from our area. In the northern lagoon we will discover unexpected corners, in the area near Burano, breathtaking views and a magnificent sunset view over Venice, until our return to our meeting point.

Are you ready for a unique experience? You will learn how to row a traditional Venetian boat through the canals of the city! We will meet at our boat laboratory, located in the Cannaregio area. We will show you our squero (our gondole laboratory), where we restore and handcraft gondole. We will also introduce you to the world of Venetian boats, explaining their characteristics and peculiarities. After this brief introduction, we will teach you how to row with ancient techniques and show you how to use the oars and other tools in order to have a safe and accurate rowing experience :) This experience is suitable for everyone and at any age.

Together we will discover the Prosecco Hills... beautiful places of my childhood, where I used to run freely around the vineyards! In the morning, with me and my husband, we will visit a winery located in an area with a beautiful scenery, where we will learn all the secrets of Prosecco wine making and taste some glasses of this famous sparkling wine! We will then visit a local Osteria lost in the middle of the hills, and will have an aperitivo in front of the vineyards, while listening to the delightful singing of the birds! We will meet my family, while enjoying a typical lunch in our family owned osteria, where traditional dishes are prepared using our grandma's recipes, and where the typical "spiedo" meat cooks slowly near the fire! All desserts are home made by my brother and are really a sweet end of a delicious 4 courses meal! We will visit a second winery, where we will meet friends that run a very high quality DOCG Prosecco winery and produce wines using ancient types of vines and lots of passion! Finally, in summer time only (Apr to Oct), there could be the possibility of enjoying a unique picnic experience in a stunning area in the middle of the vineyards.

Dal lunedì al venerdì passeremo in un laboratorio di pasta fresca, dove ogni giorno producono tagliatelle, ravioli, gnocchi e tanti altri tipi di pasta. Passeremo poi dal mio amico Stefano che ogni giorno produce: maschere, quaderni e stampa cartoline. Andremo poi dal remer (costruttore di remi e scalmi). Ci fermeremo lungo i canali veneziani, dove vi spiegherò la mia vita di gondoliere che rappresenta la professione veneziana più antica. Vi farò conoscere i miei amici artigiani locali e i loro laboratori. Vi accompagnerò al mercato locale e vi presenterò i miei venditori preferiti. Lungo la passeggiata ci fermeremo in due tradizionali bacari di mia fiducia, dove conosceremo dei simpatici osti, che ci serviranno i tradizionali cichetti veneziani e, degusteremo un bicchiere di vino locale. The tour I'm proposing takes around 6 hours; we will start from the Zattere toward the Venetian lagoon's most beautiful, famous and charming islands: Murano, Burano and Torcello. The first stop will be Murano, where you can admire the glass working in an authentic historic factory. We will continue towards Burano, where you can wander about her worldwide famous-coloured houses and see the traditional handmade lace. In a few minutes, we will arrive at Torcello island, one of the oldest and most significant settlements in the north of the lagoon, surrounded by the native landscape of the salt marshes.
