This is a place where locals eat in the very center. It looks rather ugly, except for the summer when they maintain a terrace – wooden constructions are always a better environment.
However, that is where you get acquainted with the local cuisine and common people, unlike dozens of touristic or hipster places grown up all around the city center.
Make sure you have a native to help you out with the menu.

This particular spot is an old art nuevo space with huge windows on the ground floor, and I usually manage to occupy a table to eat my borsch and stare at passers-by.

Also, their meal is remarkable; it is rather pricey for locals, but definitely affordable for tourists and worth trying.
The place is small and cozy. The staff is young and helpful.
I do not know what else to say.
It is my idea of a bar. I frequent there. The guys from the city government do, too.
