Il Cortile Ristorante is my favorite restaurant. It is located 3.2 miles from the house. It is intimate and conducive to conversation. The food is from local, fresh sources and prepared by the wonderful Chef Santos, who is also the owner of the restaurant. It is real Italian cuisine and I guarantee always special. The wine list is extensive with both a local and international selection. There is both inside and outside seating. I do recommend getting a reservation especially on the weekend. Rava Wines is one of the most beautiful wineries in the area. It is also an event center for weddings and concerts. Rava Wines specializes in the "sparkling" variety, but a great selection of whites and reds are also available. There are two flights to choose from, the "Sparkling" and the "Still". My favorite reds are the Brophy Clark ~ Pinot Noir and the Rava ~ Humble Red. Both are very popular with visitors as well. My favorite of the sparkling selection is the Brut Rose. For large parties or more information about a tour of the grounds as a possible venue call (805) 238-7282. The winery is 5.8 miles from the house.
