This beautiful park is dog friendly, with sweeping views, and a choose-your-own adventure trail map that can last twenty minutes or three hours; it has two parking lots that require permits or day-use tickets, but street parking is available on both Chilleno Valley and Western Avenue. Lots of great places to picnic.

This is the BEST beach around, but especially if you have a dog. It's all off-leash, and an out-and back beach stroll is about 3.5 miles. Pro-tip: get a soft-serve from local dairies at the Dillon Beach shop, or have a burger at their eatery, then park in that lot, or in the side streets, as beach parking is $10.
