Short 12 minutes from the house, Cacapon State Park has two lakes and offers a myriad of activities from hiking trails, horseback riding, fishing, golf, basketball, volleyball and tennis.
Be sure to check out the Nature Center, there will be directions in the park on how to get there.

Downtown Berkeley Springs/Mineral Baths and Spa
• Berkeley Springs is famous for its mineral hot waters (even George Washington frequented this place!). Our favorite place to soak in the mineral water is the Main Bathhouse at the Berkeley Springs State Park where you can soak in a Roman bath, or a Jacuzzi tab and have a half or 1 hour massages and they offer various spa treatments. They are getting booked very quickly especially during the weekend, so if you plan to experience one of their services, we encourage you to call in advance and make a reservation. The staff are so attentive and you will be amazed at experience.
• Should you choose to only soak in the mineral water, you can also do that at the recently renovated Old Roman Bathhouse across the Main Bath house and next to the Mineral springs, underneath the Berkeley Springs Museum.
