A 15 minute walk from Skylark through Tor Woods, this wonderful National Trust museum and gardens is well worth a visit, especially in the Spring. Sadly, not dog friendly.

One of our favourite walks and wonderful views of Salcombe. Follow the footpath to Batson Creek and then onwards to Snapes.

One of our favourite walks and wonderful views of Salcombe. Follow the footpath to Batson Creek and then onwards to Snapes.
Another wonderful National Trust walk and very close to our home. Wonderful views over Starehole Bay - a favourite spot for waterskiing in the summer. Quite steep in places, so you do need to be reasonably fit.

Probably the best beach in Salcombe - although technically, this is East Portlemouth on the other side of the estuary. Take the ferry and follow the road around to the beach.

Our local beach a lovely spot for water-sports. Catch the famous sea-tractor and catch the ferry into town.

Another great beach and only a few minutes walk from our home. Dog friendly all year and stop off for a bite to eat at teh Winking Prawn.
