Port Authority Bus Terminal station
625 8th AveA variety of buses get you from NY back to the unit. Just a hop, skip, and a jump. Download the NJ Transit App for Pickup and Drop Off locations. Another Great App for Traveling is Moovit… It’s my absolute favorite for navigating NY subways.
Take the 20 minute ride to Port Imperial Harbor Station. Enjoy the beautiful ride across the river.

A real local experience. These are privately operated buses (yes legal). They run longer hours and leave when the bus is full. You can pick them up outside of the Port Authority on your return trip to New Jersey. Going into NY- you simply wait at a bus stop going in the direction of NY. They can also take you to Journal Square along JFK Blvd. This gets you to the Path train. Locals love the Path train it gets you directly to HerAld Square and 33rd Street in Manhattan. Also. Close to Madison Square Garden.
When getting off simply tell the driver your stop and kindly pay him.

Enter into any subway station and get a Metrocard to ride the subways. If your credit/ bank card has access you can you scan it on the kiosk attached to the turnstiles. The subway system operates on Letter and Number trains. Be careful and read the signs- you don’t want to wind up in one of the outer boroughs if it wasn’t your intentions.
